Harry Styles opened night six of his Wembley Stadium residency by urging concert-goers to look after each other as temperatures soared on Tuesday night.

The UK is bracing for its 'hottest day ever' as a heat dome spreading across Europe reaches the country. The Health Security Agency has issued a red health alert warning that there is a 'risk to life for even the healthy population'. 

Temperatures were forecast to reach 33C in Wembley at 5pm when the doors opened and were expected to remain at a 31C high, as the One Direction star took to the stage at 8.05pm, following support act Shania Twain. 

Harry arrived on stage for the latest date of his Together Together tour dressed in his signature short shorts, teamed with a matching teal blazer and orange shirt.

The singer, who kicked off his record-breaking 12-night Wembley residency on June 12, urged the 80,000 fans present to 'look after each other'.

'We're going to look after each other, please try and stay hydrated. If you need anything at any point, please let me know, we can stop at anytime,' he said.

'It's all good. We're gonna look after each other, have fun, dance, get sweaty, sing, scream if you wanna go faster.' 

Wembley Stadium relaxed its water bottle policy on Tuesday to allow concertgoers to bring metal or hard plastic water bottles inside.

They also advertised half-priced water available for sale inside whilst free sun cream was available from information points.   

A red weather warning has been issued across the country for Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures due to come close to Britain's all-time record of 40.3C, set in July 2022. 

Some schools have cancelled trips and are setting work for students to do at home, after the Met Office warned the heatwave is expected to bring 'severe and significant impacts', including widespread health risks for many. 

Meanwhile the Army has cancelled ceremonial operations in London and Windsor to protect the 'wellbeing' of its soldiers, and lidos are already fully booked for the week ahead. 

Extreme heat is also expected to cause travel disruption tomorrow with train services across Kent and south-east London likely to be affected, South Eastern Railway said. 

The rail operator urged passengers to only travel if 'absolutely necessary'.

The highest temperature recorded in the UK on Tuesday was 34.6C in Wisley in Surrey, the Met Office has said.

Scotland and Northern Ireland recorded their hottest days of the year so far with the mercury hitting 28.8C in Fyvie Castle, Aberdeenshire, and 26.4C in Katesbridge, County Down. 

Meanwhile data has revealed that the heatwave means that fans at Harry's concerts this week experience almost the same physical exertion as a HYROX session.

As well as the impact of the current heatwave, The Odd Company has assessed what is physically underway for Styles fans, by analysing the setlist.

Each track’s estimated BPM and duration were then analysed to estimate fan movement intensity and energy expenditure, alongside additional activity such as the average step-count to and from the stadium, and found that by just over halfway, energy output matches running a 10K in 60 minutes.

By the end of the night, the concert almost reaches HYROX-level exertion.

Harry has been making sure he gets his workouts in before heading to stage.    

The star was spotted running to his two-hour Wembley concert on Friday. 

Known for his love of running, having completed two marathons, Harry was seen making his way to his concert by running 10km from his home in Hampstead to the north west London arena. 

In a TikTok video posted by @paigealicex, the singer could be seen in a grey sweatshirt and purple shorts heading towards the stadium.

'Harry Styles running to his own show. I was too stunned to speak,' they penned alongside the clip. 

Fans found the clip hilarious, as they commented: 'I thought Chris Martin getting the train to Cardiff was epic but this beats that'. 

Last year Harry impressed onlookers when he crossed the finish line with a time of 3:24:07 at Tokyo Marathon, landing him in very respectable 6,010th place of 26,706 runners.

And six months later, the Watermelon Sugar singer scored a new personal best when he ran the Berlin Marathon in under three hours, with a finish time of 2:59:13.

Starring on the cover of Runner's World back in March, Harry explained the sport allows him to be alone with his thoughts and shed the trappings of fame.

After taking time away from the spotlight to go travelling, attend Glastonbury, hit the Berlin club scene and see the new Pope be announced in Rome, Harry found his passion for running, saying it became a place for him to 'really be by myself'.

He said: 'Because in some of those new experiences, there’s just so much stimulation, right? So many people, and it’s just so loud.

'So then running also became my processing place for all of that. Really being by myself. When you’re training for a marathon, which is the loneliest part, you just kind of set out for a run, and three hours later you come back.

'But there’s a real synergy between that and electronic music. It’s kind of hypnotic and becomes like a mantra almost.'
