Trump escalates Candace Owens feud with most vicious barb...
2026-04-25 · via News | Mail Online

Donald Trump has escalated his feud with Candace Owens, delivering some of his most explosive insults yet.

The president took to Truth Social on Friday to blast the right-wing commentator, who he branded an 'extremely low IQ individual.'

He shared an image of a mocked-up Time magazine cover bearing an unflattering image of Owens with the title: 'Vile Person of the Year.'

The riff on the Time Person of the Year cover contained other fake headlines claiming Owens 'lies,' and 'uses rich white men.'

The image also contained outlandish claims that Owens 'protects sex offenders' and has a '0% fact check ratio on all credible fact checking sites.'

Trump slammed Owens amid her ongoing legal feud with French First Lady Brigitte Macron after she repeatedly and falsely asserted that Macron was born male.

'Candace Owens' stock, which was never very high, has fallen a long way,' Trump wrote in a caption alongside the magazine cover.

'Her attack on the First Lady of France is despicable. I believe, in this case, without verification, she is an extremely low IQ individual!'

President Donald Trump jumped on Truth Social to slam Candace Owens, 36, amid her ongoing legal feud with French First Lady Brigitte Macron after she claimed Macron was born male

Phrases including, 'Candace Owens lies, lies, lies,' '0% fact check ratio on all credible fact checking sites,' 'protects sex offenders!' and 'uses rich white men!' were featured alongside a mock up of a Time magazine cover featuring Owens

Owens is currently involved in an ongoing legal battle after she repeatedly claimed to her millions of social media followers that French President Emmanuel Macron's wife was born a man.

Owens was previously a staunch and vocal supporter of the president, but their relationship has soured over the last year following her criticism of Trump's handling of the situation with Iran.

The tensions spilled over into a full-blown feud after Owens said she was 'embarrassed' to support the president.

Her criticism only mounted following the outbreak of the conflict with Iran and the two have been trading jabs ever since.

Just days ago, Owens questioned if Trump was 'gay' during a monologue on her show, suggesting the president had sex with the French First Lady 'when he was a man,' Mediaite reported.

Her comment came after the president dismissed her as 'crazy.'

'"Crazy" Candace Owens, who accuses the Highly Respected First Lady of France of being a man, when she is not, and will hopefully win lots of money in the ongoing lawsuit,' Trump wrote online.

'Actually, to me, the First Lady of France is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, in fact, it's not even close!'

Owens and Trump have been verbally sparring since she ramped up her criticism of the Iran war

The Macrons in turn filed a 218-page lawsuit in Delaware against Owens on July 23, 2025, seeking an unspecified amount of compensatory and punitive damages

Owens previously claimed the president had called her personally to ask her to stop targeting Macron.

Owens said she based her allegations against the French First Lady on what she called a 'thorough investigation' by French blogger Natacha Rey who first raised the absurd allegations.

The Macrons filed a 218-page lawsuit in Delaware against Owens on July 23, 2025, seeking an unspecified amount of compensatory and punitive damages.

The couple said in a statement at the time: 'Because Ms Owens systematically reaffirmed these falsehoods in response to each of our attorneys' repeated requests for a retraction, we ultimately concluded that referring the matter to a court of law was the only remaining avenue for remedy.

'Ms Owens's campaign of defamation was plainly designed to harass and cause pain to us and our families and to garner attention and notoriety. We gave her every opportunity to back away from these claims, but she refused.

'It is our earnest hope that this lawsuit will set the record straight and end this campaign of defamation once and for all.'

A statement shared with the Daily Mail said Owens had 'promoted a preposterous narrative about the Macrons, including incendiary and verifiably false accusations of identity theft, incest, violent crimes, and mind control.'

Owens doubled down in September last year to announce that the lawsuit would be escalated so that Macron undergoes a 'third-party examination.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to Owens, the White House and the Macrons for comment.
