Los Angeles police officers allegedly shot dead a woman's adorable dog as she was trying to celebrate the New York Knicks' championship.
Viral footage circulating on social media showed Marie Marseille absolutely devastated after her 2-year-old Golden Saint Berdoodle, Jameson, was killed.
Marseille, who lives at the Jordan Condominiums in Canoga Park, California, was celebrating the Knicks' first NBA championship in 53 years on Saturday night when, 10 minutes later, her beloved pet was killed.
LAPD officers were dispatched for a report of loud voices and a possible domestic dispute between two women.
Marseille, a nurse originally from New York, told Fox 11 that when officers arrived, she informed them that she was alone, and that's when the cops noticed the dog.
'I'm like, "Oh no, it's just me,"' Marseille said. 'And then they saw Jameson, and the one officer said, "Put the dog away." I was like, "Yeah, no problem."'
The dog mom said Jameson escaped outside and approached the cops: 'The next thing I know, Jameson is lying on the ground.'
'But Jameson wasn’t baring his teeth, he wasn’t growling, he wasn’t aggressive, he wasn’t barking. He was just moving toward the officer.'

However, according to a preliminary report from the LAPD, officials said that Jameson charged one of the officers.
Jameson, who was wearing a Knicks T-shirt, died at the scene.
The heartbreaking footage showed the aftermath of the shooting as Marseille cried over the lifeless body of her pup.
Screaming in tears, she yelled out: 'The Knicks just won a championship. We were just so happy. We were just trying to celebrate the Knicks.'
An angry neighbor can be heard telling the dozen cops standing by: 'What is the purpose of all of you? This is what we pay for?'
The TikTok footage alone has received over 12.5 million views and nearly 2.5 million likes at the time of this report.
A GoFundMe set up 'to get justice for Jameson and any cremation fees' has raised more than $55,000.
