The Jonas Brothers' millionaire parents have closed their famous Southern-cooking restaurant in Las Vegas as the city struggles to generate the tourism it saw in its heyday.
Nellie's Southern Kitchen at the MGM Grand announced earlier this month that it would close on Monday.
MGM added in a statement that there were no immediate plans for the space. No further information was shared about why the restaurant closed.
'We are grateful to our dedicated staff and loyal guests who filled that space with so many unforgettable moments over the years,' Manolis Alpogianis, a spokesperson for the restaurant, said in a statement to People.
'As our lease approached its expiration, we made a strategic decision about where to focus our long-term efforts.'
'We invite everyone to visit our founding location in Belmont, NC, now celebrating a decade of great food and Southern hospitality.'
The Las Vegas restaurant, located in the District opposite the MGM Grand Garden Arena, opened in 2022 to great fanfare.
The Jonas family rolled out the red carpet to launch the new location in Sin City. The Jonas Brothers attended the grand opening before their opening residency show at the Dolby Live theater.

The restaurant honored Kevin Jonas Sr's grandmother's Southern cooking in North Carolina. Nellie's expanded to Las Vegas in 2022 after the success of its flagship location
'Our family's connection to Las Vegas has always been strong as we've performed here many times over the years, and it feels very special to now have a permanent piece of our family history in the city for everyone to enjoy,' Joe Jonas said in a statement at the time.
Nick added that Nellie's was a 'celebration of what people love about Las Vegas - 'amazing food, great vibes and entertainment,' while Kevin said the timing of the restaurant's opening 'couldn't be better' as it coincided with their first residency show.
Nellie's is named after Kevin Sr's grandmother and honors the home-cooked meals he had growing up in Belmont, North Carolina, where the restaurant's flagship location is.
'I am really proud of our Belmont location and how we have survived through some obviously tough times,' Kevin Sr told People in 2021.
'But the Las Vegas location has been a long time coming. We started talking about Vegas before we even opened in Belmont,' he said.
The Jonas patriarch said in a statement at the time that opening a restaurant in the heart of Las Vegas was 'thrilling,' adding that his late grandmother would have been 'amazed' to see her name in lights.
Vegas is in the midst of a crisis, with sky-high prices and luxury experiences shifting the city away from what originally drew millions of tourists.
Visitor volume has steadily declined since 2016, according to data compiled by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Research Center.

Annual trips dropped by 7.5 percent last year, marking the most significant decline outside of the pandemic since LVCVA started tracking tourism data in 1970.
However, tourism continues to generate significant revenue for Las Vegas, with average daily room rate and revenue per available room reaching their third-highest levels in 2025, according to the LVCVA.
The changing identity of Las Vegas has resulted in a slew of closures. Guy Fieri’s Mexican cantina, El Burro Borracho, inside the Rio Las Vegas, closed in mid-March.
One of the city's oldest bars, Champagne's Cafe, closed earlier this year, citing road construction and a downturn in visitation after three decades in business.
The famous and controversial Heart Attack Grill has also permanently closed, with owner Jon Basso telling SFGate that their customers have been priced out of the city.
The Daily Mail has reached out to MGM Grand and Nellie's Southern Kitchen for comment.
