Tickets for Arsenal's Champions League final are on sale for £200,000

Tickets for Saturday’s Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are being sold for £195,000 as ticket holders look to cash in on interest.

Arsenal can win a first ever Champions League title in Budapest this weekend but will need to overcome defending champions PSG at the Puskas Arena in Hungary.

The Gunners received an official allocation of just over 16,000 tickets and the desire for Arsenal fans to watch their team potentially make history is leading to ticket holders charging extortionate rates.

There are a pair of tickets on Live Football Tickets available for £390,000 – £195,000 each – consisting of a £150,000 flat fee and an additional £45,000 in service fee and tax on each individual ticket.

While resale tickets at this level are rare, the cheapest available ticket on the same site was over £2,000 – a hike of over 1,000 per cent on the category three ticket cost lucky Arsenal fans were able to pay as part of their allocation.

Arsenal on the brink

Arsenal are thus far unbeaten in the Champions League, winning all eight of their matches in the group stages before getting aggregate wins – without a one-leg defeat – against Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting CP and Atletico Madrid.

PSG, on the other hand, lost two of their 16 matches on the way to the final – falling to 2-1 defeats to Sporting CP and Bayern Munich in the group phase.

The match in Budapest will be Arsenal’s first European final since the 2019 Europa League final – which they lost 4-1 against Chelsea – and their first in the Champions League since 2006, when they were beaten 2-1 by Barcelona at the Stade de France in Paris.

“There will be some restricted view seating within the allocation that may have partial views blocked by safety rails, pillars, or crowd barriers,” an Arsenal ticketing statement read when their allocation was announced.
