The government has launched a call for evidence to inform future policy on those working in the building professions, trade and occupations.
The call for evidence is structured into five parts: pre-design; design and specification; construction; occupation and maintenance; and cross-cutting issues, themes, and challenges.
Respondents have the choice to complete all parts, or those that are relevant to their area, interest, or expertise. It calls for real-world examples and quantitative data, if possible.
Input is requested from those who work across the entire building lifecycle, including:
- those directly employed in the full range of built environment professions, trades and occupations;
- clients (commercial, public sector and domestic);
- manufacturers;
- education providers;
- those working in adjacent sectors such as insurance;
- legal and financial services and
- professional bodies, trade bodies, statutory regulators, and consumer or representative organisations.
The open call for evidence can be found here.
