Pentagon requesting multiyear authority for a dozen munitions

The Pentagon is requesting multiyear procurement authority from Congress for a dozen munitions beginning in fiscal year 2027, according to a legislative proposal recently sent to Capitol Hill. The weapon systems are: Joint Advanced Tactical Missiles (JATM). Standard Missile-3 Missiles (SM-3) Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM) Standard Missile-6 Missiles (SM-6) Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles (JASSM) Long Range Anti-Ship Missiles (LRASM) Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) & Maritime Strike Tomahawk (MST) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD)...
