

























Congressional defense committees will begin marking their versions of the fiscal year 2027 defense authorization and appropriations bills in the coming weeks.
First up will be the House Armed Services Committee, which will hold its annual marathon mark-up session on June 4. The chairman’s and subcommittee marks have already been released.
The Senate Armed Services Committee will begin its mark-up in closed session on June 9, with subcommittee work expected to begin the previous day.
Meanwhile, the House Appropriations defense subcommittee will mark up its version of the FY-27 defense spending bill in closed session on June 11, followed by an open hearing with the full committee on June 24.
