Day one of the 2026 NFL Draft is over, and the Seattle Seahawks made a pick that shocked me quite a bit. After being drafted with pick 32, Jadarian Price is heading to Seattle.

Two Notre Dame players went in round one of the draft, and both of them were running backs. Jeremiyah Love went at pick three, which was even higher than I had thought, but he’s an elite talent.

It’s not a shock to anyone, including myself, that he went early in the NFL draft. Price isn’t quite on that same level as Love, and the two sharing a backfield didn’t give him a ton of opportunities to prove himself.

Regardless, when Price did touch the ball, he played well, and the explosiveness he brings to an offense is clear. Below, we’ll break down what kind of role Price will have in 2026 fantasy football and what his future outlook should consist of.

Jadarian Price Drafted By the Seattle Seahawks

After winning the Super Bowl, the Seahawks were unable to retain a very key contributor. Kenneth Walker won Super Bowl MVP, but he’s no longer with the Seahawks.

Walker signed with the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, leaving Seattle behind. With the Seahawks, Walker found success, but he wasn't elite in most years.

Of the four years Walker was in Seattle, he had two seasons with at least 13 PPG (PPR), one with at least 16, and most recently, he had 11.3 in 2025. From a pure draft capital perspective, Walker is very similar to Price, being selected at pick 41 in the 2022 NFL draft.

Since we’re just looking at 2026, it's important to note that Walker only caught 27 passes for 165 yards as a rookie. While Walker may have been a slightly more physical runner, Price looks like the better pass catching prospect, based on the film.

That said, Zach Charbonnet is on this roster, and he’s taken a significant workload over the past two years. Especially in 2025, Charbonnet had 184 carries.

If Charbonnet is fully healthy, drafters should avoid Price. That said, Charbonnet tore his ACL in the NFL playoffs, meaning there’s a good chance he’ll miss time in 2026. The fact that the Seahawks spent serious draft capital on Price makes that idea even more likely.

Jadarian Price 2026 Fantasy Football Projection

With that being said, I’m expecting a 12-14 PPG rookie season out of Price. The talent is there, and he should get off to a hot start if Charbonnet misses time.

That being said, Charbonnet is clearly valued by the Seahawks, as shown by how many carries he had in 2025. Price, on the other hand, has never had more than 120 carries in a season.

With Price not being as great a runner in between the tackles, I’m expecting those touches to go down just a bit when Charbonnet is back, which should hurt his fantasy value.

The main reason I’m expecting Price to find success, regardless of those concerns, is that he has a chance to be a strong receiving back. Despite not having more than six catches in a season at college, it’s less about that Price can’t do it, and more that Love is just that good a player.

For me, this projection goes beyond the stats, and I’m not sure Seattle would have invested pick 32 in the Price if they didn't see him as a strong receiver.

Whether or not you should target Jadarian Price is going to come down to where his ADP settles in at, but he should have a very good rookie year based on how everything looks right now.
