Match Grade: A

El Hijo Del Vikingo Def. El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr.

  • Similar to the opener, this match started promptly with Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. immediately hitting a running dropkick. Vikingo and Wagner battled on the apron before a big boot sent Vikingo Jr. to the floor. Vikingo hit a sick double stomp to the champion on the outside.
  • Vikingo leaned into his heel reaction as he peppered Wagner with a baseball slide drop kick followed by a running shooting star to the outside. Vikingo ate a superkick while trying to dive back into the ring.

Fans booed as Omas stormed to the ring. Omos casually tripped Wagner, allowing Vikingo to capitalize with a Meteora. Vikingo hit a 450 splash for a nearfall.
  • Galeno made the save, but ate an open hand from Omos for his troubles. The Nigerian Giant dumped Galeno into the crowd, but Galeno answered with several steel chair shots on the big man. Mini Vikingo hit a springboard dropkick behind the referees back, and Wagner followed up with a Made in Japan on Vikingo for a nearfall.
  • Omos hit a big right hand on Wagner while the referee was distracted yet again. Vikingo hit a 630 for the win.

Match Grade: B+

The War Raiders Def. Psycho Clown And Pagano

  • Pagano and Psycho Clown continued the theme of abrupt openings with stereo suicide dives on the challengers. They followed up with a double-team maneuver on Erik as the announce team talked up Psycho Clown’s connection with the fans.
  • Fans got behind Psycho Clown as the War Raiders gained the advantage. Ivar hit a splash on Psycho Clown on the outside. Ivar flattened Psycho Clown in the corner before Psycho crumbled prematurely. Ivar soaked up the hostile reaction from Arena Monterrey as the War Raiders were firmly in control.
  • Pagano made the hot tag and ran wild on Erik with “unorthodox” offense. Pagano hit a Codebreaker on Erik from the second turnbuckle followed by a dropkick on Ivar. Now on fire, Pagano hit a tornado DDT on Ivar followed by an Emerald Flowsion.
  • Now it was Psycho Clown’s turn as he ran wild and hit a Code Red on Ivar for a nearfall. Psycho hit an impressive Psycho Driver followed by a flying leg drop from Pagano. Psycho Clown hit a Frog Splash on Ivar, but Erik made the save.
  • Pagano accidentally kicked Ivar’s arm into Psycho Clown’s face. Pagano accidentally laid out Psycho Clown with a clothesline, then the War Raiders hit DTM for the win. Pagano teased re-entering the ring, only to turn back around and walk off. Arena Monterrey booed vociferously as Erik and Ivar laid out Psycho Clown with a double powerbomb.

Match Grade: B

El Grande Americano Def. OG El Grande Americano | Chad Gable Unmasks

  • AAA aired a great, comic book-inspired vignette showcasing the big moments that brought us to the hottest grudge match in all of pro wrestling. OG El Grande Americano’s entrance was accompanied by a Mariachi band as fans booed loudly.
  • El Grande Americano also received a Mariachi band, which led the crowd in the singing of “Cielito Lindo.” Fans lost their minds for the entrance of El Grande Americano, who has become nothing less than a cult hero in 2026.
  • OG El Grande Americano cheated to open this match, throwing salt into the eyes of El Grande Americano II. Fans chanted “let’s go Grande!” as El Grande II fired up on El OG. Back-and-forth they went as fans cheered and booed, respectively.
  • The Original continued to brutalize his opposition on the outside as Rey Mysterio talked up the importance of the connection between El Grande II and the fans. The Original hit an inverted Angle Slam off the steel steps. Back in the ring, The Original ripped and teared at El Grande II as fans screamed in horror. El Grande II came back with a White Noise off the apron and through the table.
  • The Original brutalized El Grande Americano II back inside the ring. El Grande II began to shed blood, but he blindly fired off wild rights and lefts with fans rallying behind him. The Original took back control of the match wit ha suplex. Fans chanted “si se Puede!” The Original hit a belly-to-back superplex, but he couldn’t make the cover.
  • El Grande II began hulking up. He launched into a comeback featuring stiff chops and a springboard blockbuster for a nearfall. El Grande II summoned the will to continued as he fought “for Pimpi, (and) for Mexico!” in the words of Corey Graves.
  • El Grande Americano II tore at The Original’s mask atop the rope as fans cheered. The Original fought out of it, but missed a dive to the outside. El Grande Americano II followed up with a running dropkick against the stairs. Now The Original was bloodied. El Grande II positioned the chair in between the top two turnbuckles.
  • The Original recovered and hit a German Suplex. El Grande II hit The Original with a chair and pinned him, but Julio and Bruto broke up the pin in this no-disqualification match. Julio and Bruto put El Grande Americano II through the announce table. The Original hit a diving headbutt for a two count, and a huge pop.
  • Rayo and Bravo Americano evened the odds as they brawled with Julio and Bruto. El Bravo dove from high above in the crowd and onto the field. The dust cleared as both Grandes Americanos were on equal footing. The Original put his hands on Ojitos, and the blind comedian answered with several shots with a cain.
  • A Mariachi band player laid out The Original with a guitar, and revealed herself to be Pimpinela. With Arena Monterrey shaking, El Grande II hit a flying clothesline for a nearfall.
  • The Original scored with a low blow and absconded a bull rope from El Grande II. The Original spiked El Grande II into the mat with the bullrope, but only for a nearfall. Fans came unglued as Andrea Bazarte returned through the crowd. Bazarte gave El Grande Americano II encouragement from the front row. The Original zeroed in on Andrea, who flashed her ticket. Americano attacked The Original from behind, turning the tables with the bull rope.
  • El Grande II hit a modified DDT on the chair for a nearfall. Los Grandes went back-and-forth with “boo, yeah” strikes. The Original hit a moonsault on El Grande II for a nearfall. The Original bludgeoned El Grande’s leg with a chair, then synched in the ankle lock submission. El Grande Americano countered with La Cavernaria, but The Original regained control with an ankle lock.
  • El Grande Americano escaped the ankle lock and hit a belly-to-back suplex. El Grande II stumbled as his ankle gave way. The Original hit a rolling German suplex for another nearfall.
  • El Grande Americano hit a running headbutt and pinned The Original for the win. El Arena Monterrey went crazy. A star is reborn.
  • After the match, Chad Gable said he put on the mask to learn the arts of lucha libre and defeat all the luchadors around the world whom he hated. In that process, he learned everything there is to learn about AAA, Mexico, the Mexican people and the Mexican culture. He’s man enough to admit that he stands in front of Arena Monterrey—not as a mask—but as a man. It pains him to say this, but with all the honor in the world, tonight he could not overcome the Mexican spirit. Gable said he will always be the original El Grande Americano. But tonight, Gable told El Grande II that he was the only El Grande Americano.
  • Chad Gable unmasked to a huge pop as fans chanted “Gable!” Gable revealed his name, date of birth and place of birth. He said he wrestled in the Olympic Games, and has been a wrestler for 13 years. Gable introduced his family: His wife and his three kids. Fans cheered and embraced Gable as if he was their own. Gable vowed to be back in AAA as a second star was born.
