After looking at the top quarterbacks to trade away in dynasty fantasy football, we’ll be pivoting to another position. This time around, we’ll be looking at tight ends.

Forbes3 Quarterbacks To Trade Away In Dynasty Fantasy Football

As touched on in our last article, this does not mean these are bad players. The goal of this exercise is to take advantage of these players either being at their peak value, or trading them away before their value goes down quite a bit during the 2026 season.

For the value of these tight ends, we’ll be using Keep Trade Cut. That said, here are three tight ends you should look to trade away from your dynasty fantasy football team.

1. Oronde Gadsden II (KTC Rank: TE10)

Oronde Gadsden was a player that I was a fan of coming out of college due to his receiving stats. Gadsden played wide receiver in 2021 and 2022, so it shouldn’t be a shock that he had 73 catches for 934 yards in 2024 when he became a tight end.

However, Gadsden isn’t a great blocker, which caused him to go in round five of the 2025 NFL draft. While blocking doesn’t matter for fantasy football, it does for an NFL team.

When Gadsden was being ranked as the TE46 back on May 7th, 2025, that was a good price point to hold him at. However, TE10 is a bit rich when I’m not confident that Gadsden will be the starting tight end in 2027 or even 2026.

Not only that, but the Los Angeles Chargers have a number of weapons at wide receiver. They have Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and even Tre Harris, who was drafted with the 55th overall pick in last year's draft.

Gadsden was a bit inconsistent last year, scoring over 10 points (PPR) from week six to week nine. Outside of that four game stretch, though, Gadsden only scored at least 10 points two times.

If you’re able to trade down to Isaiah Likely with an overall rank of 111 (superflex), who’s the TE11, that makes a ton of sense right now.

2. Dalton Kincaid (KTC Rank: TE1012

Dalton Kincaid falls in a similar bucket to Gadsden, except it’s less about him being replaced as the starting tight end and more about him not living up to expectations just yet.

While it’s true tight ends take longer to develop, Kincaid was selected with pick 25 in the 2023 NFL draft. Since then, he’s only had one season with over 10 PPG, and that came in 2025 with 10.5.

Despite having Josh Allen at quarterback and Khalil Shakir leading the team in receiving yards with 719, Kincaid wasn’t great last year in fantasy football. Now that DJ Moore is coming in, that should take away some targets from Kincaid, who only had 49 last year to begin with.

Even though Kincaid could get better as a player since he’s only 26 years old, I’m expecting him to score less than 10 PPG in 2026 because of Moore, which should cause his value to go down.

3. Mason Taylor (KTC Rank: TE16)

There’s not a ton of great options past Kincaid, but if you can trade up for Likely or even Jake Ferguson who has a rank of 125, that’s a good plan. Mason Taylor was drafted with the 42nd overall pick in last year's draft, but he didn’t do much as a rookie.

Taylor had 6.8 PPG, and while the point about tight ends taking time to develop is true, there was plenty of opportunity. Garrett Wilson led the team in receiving yards with 395, despite only playing eight games.

There’s not a ton of great quarterback options in this 2026 draft class, so it’s hard to see things getting much better with the New York Jets, if Geno Smith is starting.

I’m not completly out on Taylor long-term, but he’s a player that I’m expecting to disappoint in 2026, which will likely cause his value to drop quite a bit if he has two underwhelming years.

Try to get ahead of the curve with Taylor and trade him from your dynasty fantasy football team while he still has some solid value.
