The NCAA transfer portal is open, which means there’s going to be quite a bit of movement in the men's college basketball world. Although there are a ton of players transferring, 247 Sports only lists four players as five-star transfer recruits.

With that being the case, here’s everything you need to know about those four players.

ForbesMichigan And UConn Quickly Turn Attention To Transfer Portal

1. Flory Bidunga: 2025-2026 Team: Kansas

Flory Bidunga, who played at Kansas in the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 season, is the number one-ranked transfer recruit on 247 Sports.

Bidunga didn’t play much as a freshman, and he only scored 5.9 PPG to go along with 5.4 REB. This past season, Bidunga took a major step up, scoring 13.3 PPG to go along with 9.0 REB.

What really stands out is that Bidunga, at 6’9”, dominated in terms of his block numbers. Bidunga had 2.6 BLK (per game) this past season, which led the Big 12.

On 247, Bidunga is listed as a center, but on Sports Reference, they have him at forward. Regardless, Bidunga has the frame of 6’9”, 235 lbs (ESPN) to play either spot.

Given that Bidunga was a five-star recruit, as well, it’s not a shock that he’s the number one player in the portal right now.

2. John Blackwell: 2025-2026 Team: Wisconsin

Next up is John Blackwell, the guard who played at Wisconsin last year. Unlike Bidunga, Blackwell actually wasn’t an elite prospect coming out of high school. Per 247 Sports, they had Blackwell as a three-star recruit.

Blackwell is listed at 6’4”, 203 lbs on ESPN, which is a good size for a guard. For the first three years of Blackwell’s college basketball career, he was with Wisconsin, playing at least 34 games in every season.

Blackwell just had his best season yet as a junior in terms of scoring the basketball, with 19.1 PPG. On top of that, Blackwell also had 2.3 AST, a .430 FG%, and .389 3P%.

For any team that wants to try to find a star guard, Blackwell will likely be their number one choice.

3. Massamba Diop: 2025-2026 Team: Arizona State

Going back to the big men, we have Massamba Diop, who’s even taller than Bidunga. Diop is 7’1”, 230 lbs, and he just finished his freshman season at Arizona State. It’s worth noting that Diop was also a three-star prospect.

Diop had a very good freshman year, averaging 13.6 PPG and 2.1 BLK on the year on top of 5.8 REB. With Diop being 7’1” and posting those numbers in just one year of college basketball, expect him to draw a ton of interest in the portal.

4. Rob Wright III: 2025-2026 Team: Yale

To round out this list, we have another guard in Rob Wright III. This past year, Wright played his sophomore season at Yale, and he comes in at 6’1”, 183 lbs.

Wright had a fine freshman year at Yale, scoring 11.5 PPG to go along with 4.2 AST, but those numbers saw a big jump in the 2025-2026 season. Last year, Wright had 18.1 PPG and 4.6 AST. Wright also had a FG% of .410 and .410 3P%.

Wright was the only four-star recruit coming out of high school on this list. That said, it’s worth noting that he was the number one ranked point guard in his recruiting class.

After breaking down these four players, it’s not a shock that Bidunga, Blackwell, Diop, and Wright sit at the top of the NCAA transfer portal rankings.
