While we focused last weekend on the St. Petersburg MLP event, both the The Professional Pickleball Association Asian Tour and the Association of Pickleball Professionals International tours held events in Asia. This is a quick recap of the winners in each event.
Let’s do a quick recap of the results, highlighting the winners, the upsets, and the top players who made waves.

Top seed and top regional singles player Phuc Huynh beat Vietnam’s favorite son Quang Duong in the final. Duong’s APP contract relationship continues for the time being, but he’s losing ground without the high-level play he was accustomed to on the PPA tour.
At least the two players played this final; a month ago at the 2026 Mindanao Open in the Philippines, the two players refused to play a final due to a disagreement on which ball to use.
Australia’s Roos van Reek, recently signed to an APP contract, topped Domenika Turkovic (currently ranked No. 4 on the APP tour) in the final.
Roos van Reek and partner Jack Munro captured the mixed title together, topping surprise finalists Arjun Singh & Naomi Amalsadiwala.
Quang Duong teamed with another APP signee, Indian Harsh Mehta to top traveling US-based pro Richard Livornese and his partner Trinh Linh Giang. Mikar Fisher and Dac Tien Nguyen, who faced off for the singles bronze, together captured the doubles bronze.
Roos van Reek teamed with US-based Vivian Glozman to capture the gold together. They topped all-time leading APP medal winner Megan Fudge and her partner Turkovic in the final.
With the win, van Reek secured the Triple Crown for the event.
Sahra Dennehy won the double in Beijing.

Hong kit Wong continues to win on the PPA Asia tour.

Top seed Zane Ford ousted top up and coming Australian Harrison Brown in the semis, but couldn’t get past Hong Kit “Jack” Wong in the final. Wong wins his first singles title on the PPA international tour since March 2025 in New South Wales.
Chao-Yi “Zoey” Wang and Sahra Dennehy, two rostered MLP players who took a quick trip halfway around the world to compete in Beijing, worked their way through a solid international singles draw to meet in the final. There, Dennehy ousted the top-seeded Wang in two for the title.
Chao Yi Wang & Len Yang prevented Australian Dennehy from getting a triple crown this weekend by taking the Mixed final over Sahra and her fellow Australian partner Joseph Wild.
Hien Truong/Quan Do, who topped Federico Staksrud & Armaan Bhatia for gold last December in Hangzhou, earned gold again, topping Kenta Miyoshi / Robert Stirling. Four-time PPA Australian gold medalists Hong Kit Wong/Eunggwon Kim claimed bronze.
Sahra Dennehy teamed with Asian star Yufei Long to secure the double for the weekend by taking the Women’s Doubles title. They topped Carolina Hog Aiko Yoshitomi and Las Vegas Night Owl Chao Yi Wang

Next up for the International tours? According to my Master Pickleball Schedule, the PPA Asia tour heads to Japan the first week of July for the 2026 Sansan Tokyo Open, while the APP visits Japan the next week for the 2026 APP Japan - Kinto Nagoya City Open. Look for non-exclusive Asian players to double dip in July.
