Michael Jackson is getting a new, highly detailed action figure as the King of Pop’s biopic, Michael, is packing audiences in theaters worldwide.

Starring Jaafar Jackson, who is the late Michael Jackson’s nephew and Jermaine Jackson’s son, in the title role, Michael rocketed past pre-release box office projections to earn a projected $97 million in its opening weekend in North American theaters, according to Deadline.

On top of that, the Hollywood trade publication projected Michael to earn $120.4 million from 82 international markets, which, if the estimate holds, would result in a worldwide box office opening of more than $217 million. The massive audience response to Michael came amid an overwhelming rejection of the film by movie critics.

Rated PG-13, Michael chronicles the rise of the iconic pop star from a 10-year-old singer (Juliano Valde) with his brothers in The Jackson 5 to his global success in adulthood with his Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad albums. The ending of Michael teases a potential sequel with a title card that reads, “His Story Continues,” a play on Jackson’s HIStory greatest hits compilation released in 1995.

As Michael mania takes hold in theaters, a new 1:6 scale (12-inch) action figure of the King of Pop will soon be available. Produced by Hong Kong-based company Damtoys Collectibles, the figure is Jackson as he appeared in his elaborate music video for his song “Smooth Criminal,” which was released in October 1988.

“Smooth Criminal” is a track from Jackson’s multiplatinum Bad album from 1987. Although Michael depicts the making of the groundbreaking music videos for Beat It and Thriller — both from Jackson’s Thriller album — in Michael, the production of the “Smooth Criminal” video is not a part of the film.

Damtoys Collectibles’ “Smooth Criminal" 12-inch action figure of Jackson will soon be able to purchase through the company’s U.S. distributor, Sideshow Collectibles. Two versions of Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” figure are currently up for pre-order on Sideshow’s site.

The standard release of the figure — which costs $520 — comes with a base and several other accessories, while the deluxe release — which retails for $610 — comes with the accessories, a diorama base and a miniaturized version of a Wurlitzer Jukebox that appears in the “Smoth Criminal” music video.

In the “Smooth Criminal” video, Jackson quietly enters a club and flips a coin across the room, which lands in the jukebox’s slot to kick off the music.

As of the publication of this article, both versions of Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” action figure are available for pre-order with an estimated shipping date of April 2026 to June 2026.

What Else Does Michael Jackson’s ‘Smooth Criminal’ Action Figure Come With?

Both versions of the Michael Jackson “Smooth Criminal” 12-inch action figure include Jackson’s costume from the music video, which consists of a white jacket and pants with suspenders, as well as a white fedora, a blue shirt, a white tie, black socks and white shoes.

Each version of the figure, per Sideshow Collectibles, includes a custom Jackson action figure body, a rooted hair head sculpt with moveable eyes, 12 interchangeable hands, a microphone, a coin prop, five U.S. dollar props and a pair of normal angle shoes with black cloth covers.

In addition, each version of the figure includes a pair of 45-degree angle shoes so collectors can recreate Jackson’s iconic “anti-gravity lean” as seen in the music video. Each version of the figure also includes a display stand.

In addition, the deluxe version includes a diorama base with an interchangeable backboard where the miniature Wurlitzer Jukebox can be displayed.

Until Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” 12-inch figures are released, fans can watch the pop icon himself in the music video below. Michael, meanwhile, is new in theaters worldwide.
