Love Continues To Inspire Bodie To Create Authentically

Founding a music festival, a deluxe edition of a charting album and a nationwide tour are just a few of the ways that singer-songwriter bodie spent the first quarter of the year — and he’s just getting started.

The musician rose to fame after placing second on NBC’s The Voice in 2022, and it’s been a whirlwind ever since.

In September 2025, he released his debut album, NO SKIPS, before unveiling a deluxe edition earlier this year. The record has earned him multiple award nominations and saw him embark on a sold-out tour across the United States.

Following the release of the NO SKIPS (Deluxe), he announced the inaugural LOVESICKFEST, a Christian, alt-rock festival that was a decade-long dream turned into reality.

“It wasn’t until late 2025 that it became real and turned into a burning, urgent desire in my heart,” bodie recalled. “The moment I felt the green light to go for it, I called my manager and my agent and said, ‘Hey, I'm doing this. Do you guys want to do it with me?’. I was so stoked and, honestly, blown away by how excited and ready everyone was to jump in and help make the festival happen.

Bodie planned LOVESICKFEST with the help of his wife, who the singer credits for the festival’s name. They then decided on a rock-meets-love vibe for the event which, naturally, took place on Valentine’s Day weekend.

“Once we locked that concept down, I just sat at my computer making a bunch of weird designs until I started landing on things that I thought were dope,” he explained.

The festival was designed to push boundaries of creativity, presentation, entertainment, faith and authenticity — the pinnacles of bodie’s sound and identity as an artist.

Bodie is hands-on in all elements of his craft and is creative force behind all his own visuals. In April 2025, he released a music video for the single “SAY SO,” which was inspired by MTV’s legendary Jackass-era antics.

“We made a list of stunts, built out a shot list and a script. Then I grabbed a bunch of homies to help shoot and produce it, got a friend that had a bunch of snakes and had my wife there making sure we executed everything the right way since she creative directs basically everything I do,” he explained of the video.

Today, the multi-award-nominated artist released his new single OBSESSED,” a pure alt-rock confection that’s anchored by a slinky, synth-drenched piano line.

An extension of the NO SKIPS era while still holding its own identity, the song is an embodiment of bodie’s authenticity, featuring hard-hitting lyrics and a punchy, genre-bending sound. He’s not too worried about things being cohesive, or linear, and fans shouldn’t necessarily expect a certain idea of what’s to come next.

“I think when you create things that are truly authentic to you and you hold your art closely, there will always be a consistent fingerprint on anything you touch,” he said. “I'm just going to keep creating from the heart and hopefully people dig it.”
