The 2027 Volvo EX60 begins production in the Volvo Cars Torslanda plant in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The 2027 Volvo EX60 has made it to America.

On Monday the newest all-electric SUV from the Swedish brand was unveiled in North America at an event in New York City. The EX60 had first been revealed in January at a Stockholm, Sweden event.

The unveiling marks orders opening for U.S. customers for the first time along with an online configurator with pricing. Two powertrains are now available to order: the P6 and P10 AWD. The P12 AWD variant will be available at a later date.

The P6 Plus base version known as Plus starts at $58,400 before fees and includes a 15-inch OLED touch screen with Google Built-in and Google’s Gemini AI assistant features. The Ultra adds a 28-speaker system, Nappa leather interior, a dimmable electrochromic panoramic roof and heated second row seats. That trim jumps to $65,000 to start.

The P10 AWD Plus and Ultra are priced at $60,750 and $67,350, respectively.

The P6 has the lowest range up to 307 miles on a single charge, while the P10 gets up to 322 miles and the eventual P12 will reach that elusive 400-mile range mark. Only a few cars mostly from Lucid, Rivian and Tesla hit that battery capacity before needing to be plugged in.

For charging, all EX60s are natively built with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, so it’s the first Volvo to be able to plug in at any Tesla Supercharger station without an adapter. Charging on the P6 is up to 320 kW, while the P10 and P12 is 370 kW. The P6 takes 16 minutes to get to 80% charged from 10% with 155 miles added in 10 minutes.

For the P10 it adds 165 miles in 10 minutes, while the P12 will be 173 in the same time period.

Last month Volvo announced production had started in Torslanda, outside of Gothenburg, Sweden—Volvo’s headquarters. It will be the first all-electric Volvo designed and built in Sweden. Volvo’s previous all-electric cars were made in China and Belgium, where Volvo’s parent company Geely has factories.

The EX60 is based on the gas-version Volvo, the XC60, which is the best-selling Volvo. The mild hybrid XC60 starts from $51,095. Volvo only has mild hybrids, plug-ins or fully electric options for 2027 model years.

Deliveries are expected after the summer for the new EX60 EV. Until then the EX60 will be available for viewing in New York at the Westfield World Trade Center Monday through Wednesday after the unveiling event.
