65th GRAMMY Awards - Show

"Sign of the Times" continues to ascend to new highs on Billboard's global charts thanks to a sync in the blockbuster sci-fi film Project Hail Mary. Nearly a month after releasing his new album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., the latest Harry Styles set narrowly manages to hold on inside the top 10 on a number of Billboard’s rankings. Many of the tunes featured on one of the most highly-anticipated projects of 2026 have slipped away from a number of tallies, including the company’s global rosters. The few tracks that do hang on mostly tumble, although one cut manages to establish new peak positions. It is not a newly shared cut featured on Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., but rather, the first tune Styles released after breaking away from One Direction.

Harry Styles’s “Sign of the Times” Soars to New Peaks

“Sign of the Times” lifts on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., two hugely competitive worldwide songs tallies. The first ranks the most-consumed tracks all around the planet, with sales and streaming data bolstering a title’s placement. The latter operates in the same manner, except American consumption is completely left out of its methodology. This frame, “Sign of the Times” lifts at least 15 spaces and settles at No. 52 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 56 on the Billboard Global 200.

“Sign of the Times” Passes “Paint By Numbers” and “Golden”

As it surges, “Sign of the Times” leaps over several Styles favorites within his own discography. On the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., the No. 52 newly-set peak ensures that “Sign of the Times” passes both “Paint by Numbers” and “Golden.” On the Billboard Global 200, the years-old cut surges ahead of “Golden” and “Adore You,” while “Paint by Numbers” launched at No. 41 earlier this year.

“Sign of the Times” Boosted By Project Hail Mary

“Sign of the Times” introduced Styles as a solo musician nearly a decade ago, and it fronted his then-forthcoming self-titled debut album. The tune did become popular again thanks to the release of Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., but it is actually a high-profile sync in one of 2026’s highest-grossing films that has turned it into a certified smash once more.

“Sign of the Times” is featured in the family sci-fi film Project Hail Mary, and it is in such a prominent scene that people in theaters can’t help but sing along… and then return to the track via streaming platforms and digital download storefronts.

Harry Styles Charts Multiple Songs From Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

Four songs by Styles take up space on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. “American Girls,” the second single from Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., backtracks, but holds inside the top 40 on the two rankings at the same time.

“Aperture,” which introduced the full-length earlier this year, narrowly finds space inside the upper half of the pair of 200-space rundowns. “Coming Up Roses,” another Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. cut, declines more than 100 pegs to No. 195 on only the Billboard Global 200, while it is nowhere to be found on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.

It’s not all bad news for Styles, though. As “Sign of the Times” hits new highs, “As It Was” – the first single from the superstar’s full-length Harry’s House – also improves its standing, though only slightly.

“Sign of the Times” Jumps on Billboard’s Sales Chart

“Sign of the Times” has become such a sudden smash that it grows on a third Billboard tally, the Digital Song Sales chart. Last frame, “Sign of the Times” returned as one of the 25 bestselling cuts in the nation, and this time around, it leaps from No. 22 to No. 16.
