Noah Kahan scores the No. 1 album in America with his latest project, The Great Divide. The set debuts atop seven different rankings in the United States this week. In some of those cases, the singer-songwriter doubles his total number of champions, while in other instances, he earns his first winner.

The Great Divide brings Kahan to the summit on some of the most competitive charts in the country, but he didn’t face tough competition on each and every one of them. In fact, Kahan replaces himself at No. 1, trading one top-performing album for another on a handful of rosters.

Noah Kahan’s Stick Season Falls as The Great Divide Debuts

Last week, Kahan ruled the Top Rock and Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums charts. Those three lists look at the most-consumed full-lengths and EPs in those exact styles, with both sales and streams factoring into where a title settles each week.

Kahan’s Stick Season, his breakout full-length, owned each and every one of those rock-leaning tallies only days ago. This time around, it’s down to No. 2 as The Great Divide takes over.

Noah Kahan Earns His First No. 1s on Several Charts

On the other four rosters where The Great Divide launches this frame, Kahan manages his first trip to the penthouse. That list includes the all-important Billboard 200, as well as the Top Album Sales, Top Streaming Albums, and Vinyl Albums charts.

Noah Kahan Claims Five Vinyl Chart Top 10s

Kahan’s total number of top 10s differs from one ranking to the next. In addition to his No. 1s, The Great Divide marks his second trip to the loftiest tier on both the Billboard 200 and the Top Streaming Albums chart. Kahan claims a trio of appearances between Nos. 1 and 10 on the Top Album Sales, Top Rock and Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums tallies.

It’s on the Vinyl Albums chart where Kahan has proved most successful when it comes to top 10 winners. Five of his seven releases that have landed on the rundown have broken into the top 10. That includes one No. 1, The Great Divide, and two runners-up, as both Stick Season and Live From Fenway Park missed out on ruling by a single space.

Noah Kahan’s Stick Season Returns to the Top 10

Kahan’s Stick Season, which helped him become a globally adored singer-songwriter years ago, lives on the same seven rankings as The Great Divide, and it occupies a spot within the top 10 on almost all of them. In addition to the aforementioned lists where Stick Season slips to No. 2, making way for Kahan’s latest, the project also turns around and rises from No. 11 to No. 10 on the Billboard 200.

Stick Season completely reenters both the Vinyl Albums and Top Album Sales charts, rebounding from off those rankings to Nos. 6 and 10, respectively. It is only on the Top Streaming Albums rundown where Stick Season misses the mark, though it did appear at No. 10 just days ago. Now, it is down to No. 14.

“Doors,” “End Of August,” and “Dashboard” Debut

On top of landing a new No. 1 album on a variety of Billboard charts, Kahan collects what could be dozens of new top 10s when taking into account all of the company’s rock and alternative tallies. There are those built around total consumption, only streams, or pure purchases, and many of the songs featured on The Great Divide, especially fan favorites such as “Doors,” “End Of August,” “American Cars,” and “Dashboard,” debut inside the top 10 on multiple lists.
