The 67th Annual Grammy Awards

"I Just Might" by Bruno Mars becomes the fourth-longest-running No. 1 in the history of the Radio Songs chart, matching tunes by the Goo Goo Dolls and Miley Cyrus. Whenever Bruno Mars introduces a new album to the world, he always leads the campaign with a song that is sure to become not just a hit, but a certified smash. Mars has yet to release a full-length that has not produced at least one massive No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 – the kind of track that doesn't simply debut in a lofty position and slide backward, but hangs on for months, if not years, thanks to nonstop plays on radio stations across the nation.

Mars's latest solo full-length, The Romantic, which dropped earlier in 2026, was previewed with the single "I Just Might," another cross-genre, cross-generation banger. "I Just Might" has been present on more than a dozen Billboard tallies for months, and amazingly, it sits at No. 1 on several rundowns.

As "I Just Might" is once again counted as the most successful tune via all radio stations in the country, the man behind the music advances again on an all-time ranking and ties two generation-defining singles.

Bruno Mars Rules the Radio Chart Again

"I Just Might" has now ruled Billboard's Radio Songs chart for 18 weeks. The tally gathers data from radio stations throughout the United States, regardless of which format or genre they focus on playing, and each week it details which cuts rack up the largest total number of audience impressions. "I Just Might" has spent 23 frames somewhere on the Radio Songs tally, 18 of which have been at No. 1, ever since it first led the charge on the roster dated February 28.

"I Just Might" Ties Miley Cyrus and the Goo Goo Dolls

"I Just Might" is now tied as the fourth-longest-running No. 1 in the decades-long history of the Radio Songs chart. Mars's The Romantic blockbuster is on the same level as "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls and "Flowers" from pop singer Miley Cyrus. Both of those huge wins also managed 18-week runs atop the Radio Songs rundown a quarter-century apart from one another.

Bruno Mars Trails The Weeknd, Shaboozey and Alex Warren

It will be nearly two months before Mars moves up again and ties another track on the list of the longest-running No. 1s in Radio Songs chart history. The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" held the honor for about half a decade thanks to its half-year – 26-week – stint in first place on the register.

A few years after "Blinding Lights" became the longest-running ruler on the radio, another two songs that introduced rising artists – Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and Alex Warren's "Ordinary" – both bested the Weeknd's hit by just one week. "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and "Ordinary" are tied with 27 weeks apiece spent on the Radio Songs ranking's throne.

"I Just Might" Remains a Cross-Format Win

For some time, "I Just Might" was so successful on the Radio Songs chart because it was being heavily promoted to both pop and R&B stations. These days, the track only lives on all three of Billboard's pop-focused tallies, as well as the Dance/Mix Show Airplay rundown. "I Just Might" remains a top 10 hit on the Adult Pop Airplay, Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary rankings, sitting at Nos. 2, 4 and 6, respectively. "I Just Might" has already conquered two of those lists, but it is stuck in sixth place – its all-time high so far – on the Adult Contemporary register.

Bruno Mars Still Leads Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs Chart

Months after its release, "I Just Might" can still be found on 15 Billboard charts, and its success spans across pop, R&B and dance rankings. In addition to the Radio Songs tally, "I Just Might" is comfortable atop the Hot R&B Songs chart, the look at the most-consumed pieces of music in that style. "I Just Might" has now spent 23 weeks running that show, and the cut sits alone in fifth place on the rundown of the longest-running champions of all time.
