The expectations for BTS’s comeback album were sky-high, and incredibly, the South Korean musical group has been able to meet them. The boy band dropped Arirang less than a month ago, and since then, the project has been performing — and especially selling — incredibly well. Arirang appears on four Billboard charts this week, and it leads all but one of them.
As the full-length surges back to the summit on one tally, the singers beat their own record and show that Arirang is already one of their strongest performers.
On this week’s Vinyl Albums chart, Billboard’s ranking of the top-selling titles on wax throughout the United States, Arirang dances back to No. 1. Last frame, it sat in third place, pushed downward by a pair of debuts. Ye – formerly known as Kanye West – launched his latest project Bully atop the tally. Alternative singer-songwriter Melanie Martinez missed out on ruling by one space, as Hades came in beneath the rapper. Those new arrivals forced BTS off of the throne, but now the K-pop titans have bounced back to the peak position.

Arirang is now BTS’s first release to spend more than one week at No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums chart since 2023, when the group first appeared on the format-specific rundown. BTS has accrued just three placements on the list, and all of them have led the charge.

Both Love Yourself: Her and Love Yourself: Tear debuted in first place and then disappeared after just one week. Arirang was already the first project by the global superstars to manage more than one turn on the tally, and as of this period, it is also the first to manage more than a single stint at the summit.
In addition to the Vinyl Albums chart, Arirang also appears at No. 1 on two additional Billboard-published tallies. The set is steady at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales rankings.
Last frame, Arirang became BTS’s first multi-week champion on the Billboard 200, the most important albums roster in America. It is now the band’s first three-week leader as well.
The same can’t be said on the Top Album Sales chart, however, where multiple releases by BTS have held court at No. 1 for several periods. Previous projects – Be, Proof, and Map of the Soul: Persona – managed such a showing.
Of the four rosters in the U.S. where Arirang can be found, it only declines on one: the Top Streaming Albums chart. In its third stint on the list of the most-played collections on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and others, Arirang dips from No. 3 to No. 4.

Despite the group’s incredible popularity, BTS waited until Arirang to land on the Top Streaming Albums chart. The list was introduced by Billboard during the outfit’s years-long hiatus, during which time the seven members both fulfilled their mandatory military duties required of all men in South Korea by a certain age and pursued solo careers. Arirang earned the Grammy nominees not only an initial hit, but a No. 1 right out of the gate.
Two additional projects by BTS appear on one albums ranking in America, and they remain top 10 successes. Proof declines one space to No. 3 on the World Albums chart, while Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey holds at No. 9. The first of those two – one of 14 No. 1s from the musicians – reaches 200 weeks on the World Albums rundown as of this frame.
