It’s been a long wait, but the third and (potentially) final season of HBO’s Emmy-winning drama, Euphoria, returns tonight. Read on to learn what time to tune in, how to watch and everything to know about Season 3, including the new and returning cast.
Euphoria was renewed for a third season in February 2022, but in March 2024, HBO announced that production on Season 3 had been indefinitely delayed. The pause was likely due to several factors, including the 2023 actor and screenwriter strikes and the cast’s surge in popularity, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney. Filming eventually got underway in early 2025.

Plot details for the upcoming chapter have been kept under wraps, but the teens are transitioning into adulthood. HBO’s second trailer shows Rue (Zendaya) being interrogated in Mexico after working with drug dealers, Cassie (Sweeney) and Nate (Elordi) getting married, and offers a glimpse of what the characters are doing post–high school.
Here’s the official synopsis from HBO: “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.”

Euphoria Season 3 premieres on Sunday, April 12, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max.

The third season of Euphoria is available to stream on HBO Max. To watch the series, you’ll need to sign up for a subscription to the platform. The streaming site currently offers three subscription plans: Basic with ads is $10.99 per month, Standard is $18.49 per month and Premium is $22.99/month.

The returning cast includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, the late Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow and Colman Domingo. Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Dominic Fike, Melvin Gregg, Nika King, Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson and Zak Steiner will also return for Season 3. Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry have been promoted to series regulars.
Deadline exclusively reported on the large number of additions to Season 3, including musician Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch and Kadeem Hardison. New cast members also include Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, Trisha Paytas, Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice and Colleen Camp, among others.

Angus Cloud, who played Fezco on the show, passed away in July 2023 from an accidental overdose at the age of 25. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson told The Hollywood Reporter how the show will honor Cloud in the upcoming season.
“I couldn’t keep him alive in real life but I could keep his character [Fezco] alive in the show,” Levinson explained. “I kept him alive and the character has got a great arc. I think he’d be very proud of it.”

Additionally, Storm Reid, who played the younger sister of Rue (Zendaya), will not be involved in Season 3.
“Unfortunately, Gia’s not returning for the third season, but I’m so, so indebted to the cast and crew of that show [and] to HBO. Euphoria is a really special thing,” Reid said to Rotten Tomatoes at the 2024 Governors Awards, per The Hollywood Reporter.
