Drake’s Latest No. 1 Album Is A Rare Multi-Week Leader Fr...

Onyx Concert After Party

60% of all of Drake's albums that have hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — 15 of them in all — have only spent one week ruling. Iceman stands out as it keeps atop the tally. Every time Drake releases a new album, he stands a great shot at rewriting the history books. In fact, he rarely misses. The Canadian musician has been a household name for long enough, and he is so prolific, that at this point, he claims more No. 1s on the Billboard 200 – the chart company's list of the most-consumed albums and EPs in the United States – than almost any other artist in history.

While Drake almost always launches a newly released set atop the Billboard 200, more often than not, his projects don’t sit in the penthouse for long. Most of his No. 1 albums fall away after just one week, but not his latest. Drake may have given his fan base a lot of music to listen to recently – three albums' worth, in fact – but that hasn't stopped Iceman, the biggest of the bunch, from becoming a relatively uncommon multi-week champion for the singer and rapper.

Drake’s Iceman Stays at No. 1 for a Second Week

In its second stint on the Billboard 200, Iceman refuses to vacate the No. 1 spot. The set debuted in first place a little more than a week ago, and despite a decline of more than 50% in total consumption, Drake manages to hold on to his coveted position.

Iceman opened with 463,000 equivalent units, mostly generated from streaming activity. That holds as the second-loftiest start of 2026, behind only Arirang from K-pop boy band BTS. In its second week of availability, Iceman moved another 225,000 equivalent copies – easily enough to beat every other title to the Billboard 200’s peak.

Drake Matched Taylor Swift’s No. 1 Albums Record

As Iceman opened atop the Billboard 200, Drake earned his fifteenth No. 1 album in America. In doing so, he passed Jay-Z's all-time record among solo male artists and matched Taylor Swift. The two solo superstars now jointly claim the second-most rulers ever, behind the Beatles. That band continues to lead – and likely will for at least a few more years – with 19 leaders.

Drake Claims Six Multi-Week Billboard 200 Leaders

Of Drake's 15 No. 1s on the Billboard 200, only six, including Iceman, have spent more than one week at No. 1. One of those projects, Views, stands out from the rest as far and away the Grammy winner's longest-running dominating force. Buoyed by a plethora of hit singles, including the inescapable "One Dance" with Wizkid and Kyla, Views topped the Billboard 200 for 13 nonconsecutive weeks.

Scorpion and Certified Lover Boy are tied as Drake's second-longest leaders, with five frames at No. 1 apiece. More Life managed a trio of moments in the Billboard 200's spotlight, and Iceman is now on the same level as For All the Dogs with just two weeks inside the chart's penthouse.

Nine Drake Albums Have Only Led the Chart for One Week

60% of all of the Drake albums that have made it to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 reached the loftiest position and then slipped away. That roundup includes three collaborative projects with 21 Savage, Future and, as of 2025, PartyNextDoor.

These are all of Drake's albums to spend just one week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Drake’s Habibti and Maid of Honor Both Fall

Last week, Drake became the first musician to appear in the highest three spaces on the Billboard 200 simultaneously. Iceman holds steady at No. 1, but his other two full-lengths decline in their second frames on the tally. Habibti dips from No. 2 to No. 7, while Maid of Honour slides from third place to eighth.
