Nicki Minaj scores her first champion on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. as "Beauty and a Beat" climbs to No. 1 one week after debuting on the tally. Nicki Minaj is several years removed from her last album, Pink Friday 2, which dropped in December of 2023. The rapper hasn't shared new music in quite a while, even though at one point that project's follow-up was promised for earlier in 2026.

Despite the fact that there's no word on when the Barbz will get to hear from the hip-hop superstar again, Minaj manages an incredible chart feat this week. She scores her first No. 1 on one of Billboard's most competitive rankings, and it's with a track that music lovers have been consuming for well over a decade.

Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber’s "Beauty And A Beat" Hits No. 1

Minaj, joined by her one-time collaborator Justin Bieber, leads the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. This frame, their joint cut "Beauty And A Beat" surges to the top spot in only its second turn on the list of the most-consumed tracks all around the planet (though sales and streams originating from America do not play into its methodology, as they are saved for the Billboard Global 200). Just days ago, "Beauty And A Beat," which is back in the spotlight after Bieber performed it during his headlining sets at Coachella, opened at No. 3.

"Beauty And A Beat" Becomes Nicki Minaj’s Biggest Global Hit

When "Beauty And A Beat" first landed on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., it immediately brought Minaj to a new career high, and the track became one of only two top 10s for the rapper. Several years ago "Barbie World," which was created for the movie Barbie and which also features both Ice Spice and Aqua – the group that originally made "Barbie World" a hit decades ago – topped out at No. 6.

Nicki Minaj Nearly Tops the Billboard Global 200

"Beauty And A Beat" also became Minaj's highest-rising hit on the Billboard Global 200 last week, where it started at No. 4. The electronic dance cut nearly scores Minaj her first champion on that list, but both she and Bieber stop just short. The current ranking is owned by "Drop Dead," the first single taken from Olivia Rodrigo's upcoming third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.

Justin Bieber Has Racked Up Several No. 1s

Minaj has yet to rule either the Billboard Global 200 or the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., but Bieber has already collected multiple rulers. On the entirely worldwide list, both "Stay" with The Kid Laroi and "Peaches," which credits both Daniel Caesar and Giveon, racked up multiple turns running the show. Those same two cuts have also dominated the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., and this time around, they're joined by "Beauty And A Beat."

"Beauty And A Beat" Reaches New Peaks on Multiple Lists

Of the five Billboard rosters where "Beauty And A Beat" currently appears, it improves on all of them and establishes new peaks on three. In addition to both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., the catchy track also surges to a never-before-seen high of No. 5 on the Streaming Songs chart. That ranking is built entirely on playing data from platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, iHeartRadio, and others in the U.S. alone.

Among Minaj's discography, "Beauty And A Beat" ties with both "MotorSport," fronted by Migos and which also credits Cardi B, and "Rake It Up," a team-up with Yo Gotti. Those tracks also stalled in fifth place.

In Bieber's catalog, four songs have risen as high as fifth place. That roundup includes "Monster" with Shawn Mendes, "Where Are Ü Now" – credited to Jack Ü and both members Skrillex and Diplo – as well as "No Brainer," a DJ Khaled composition that names Bieber alongside Chance the Rapper and Quavo.

Nicki Minaj Climbs on Both Sales and Streaming Charts

"Beauty And A Beat" also surges on both the Digital Song Sales chart and the Billboard Hot 100, but on neither list does it push higher than ever before. "Beauty And A Beat" currently ranks as the seventh-bestselling track in the U.S., and it almost reenters the highest tier on the list of the most consumed cuts in the nation, where it vaults from No. 26 to No. 11.
