Jennie Makes Chart History With Another American Radio Smash

Billboard Women in Music 2025 - Arrivals

Jennie becomes the first solo female K-pop musician to reach Billboard's Radio Songs chart — one of the most competitive — twice as "Dracula" with Tame Impala debuts.Jennie Kim at the Billboard Women in Music 2025 held at the YouTube Theater on March 29, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. For a decade and a half, Tame Impala has been regarded as one of the most highly acclaimed musical acts in the alternative genre, though that label is intentionally vague. The music created by Kevin Parker – the man behind Tame Impala – blends many different styles, but no matter what it sounds like, it's always done well with his legion of fans, and the music industry has looked favorably upon him for quite some time.

Tame Impala hit new heights with “Dracula,” one of the singles featured on the outfit's latest album, Deadbeat. That track has been surging on charts for months, and it earned a sizable boost when Blackpink singer Jennie hopped on a remix. It is that version that now appears on the Billboard charts with both Tame Impala and Jennie credited. “Dracula” debuts on one hugely competitive ranking in America this week, earning the two artists a very special hit.

“Dracula” Launches on Billboard’s Radio Songs Chart

“Dracula” opens on the Radio Songs chart this week, ranking as one of the 50 most successful tunes across all radio stations throughout the U.S. The single, a duet of sorts, arrives at No. 49, in second-to-last place.

Jennie’s “One of the Girls” Came First

As “Dracula” launches, Jennie earns her second placement on the Radio Songs tally under her own name. Two years ago, she joined The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp – her co-stars in the short-lived TV series The Idol – on “One of the Girls.” That track only ever lifted as high as No. 48, just one space above where “Dracula” debuts this time around.

Tame Impala reaches the Radio Songs chart for the first time.

Jennie Makes History Among K-Pop Soloists

Jennie made history in early 2024 when “One of the Girls” debuted, as she became the first solo female musician from the K-pop space to land on the Radio Songs ranking. She was quickly followed by her Blackpink bandmate Rosé, who pushed “Apt.,” her team-up with Bruno Mars, all the way to No. 4. Lisa, a third Blackpink superstar, arrived on the rundown alongside Maroon 5, and the two pushed “Priceless” to No. 35 last year.

The three women that comprise the animated girl group Huntr/x — Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — earned the first No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart among all K-pop acts, though not all of them are primarily known for K-pop – at least before KPop Demon Hunters. Ejae spent years in that industry before hitting it big, while both Ami and Nuna have largely focused on other genres. “Golden,” the Grammy and Oscar-winning smash, is so far the only K-pop cut to lead the list.

Jennie is now the first female solo musician in the K-pop world to rack up more than one Radio Songs win.

Jennie Joins OneRepublic and Don Toliver with New Hits

Three singles launch on the Radio Songs chart this week, and they sit side-by-side-by-side. “Dracula” is the lowest-reaching of the bunch, though the tune is just getting started. OneRepublic earns the loftiest beginning, as the pop band’s “Need Your Love” kicks off its time at No. 47. In between OneRepublic and both Tame Impala and Jennie comes hip-hop artist Don Toliver. His latest push, “Body,” enters at No. 48.

“Dracula” Climbs on Multiple Airplay Charts

“Dracula” currently appears on well over a dozen Billboard charts, including four that focus on performance at radio. The collaboration returns to No. 24, its all-time peak, on the Pop Airplay list, which looks only at top 40 stations. The collaboration also climbs on both the Rock & Alternative Airplay (No. 8) and Adult Pop Airplay (No. 19) rosters, though those positions are not newly-set highs for the cut.
