Noah Kahan broke into mainstream consciousness and transitioned from an indie darling to a certified superstar with his album Stick Season. His third full-length dropped in the fall of 2022, and Kahan spent years promoting it with hit after hit and reissues that added multiple tracks, including a handful of collaborations with fellow well-known artists.
In the United States, Stick Season peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the most closely watched albums chart. In the United Kingdom, it rose all the way to No. 1.
Kahan recently dropped The Great Divide, his Stick Season follow-up and one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2026. In the U.K., The Great Divide debuts at No. 1 on almost every chart it reaches, though even Kahan loses out on the throne on just a single tally as one of the most successful and critically adored rock bands of the last quarter-century earns another champion.
As The Great Divide launches at No. 1, Kahan doubles his total number of leaders on four rosters. He has now seen two projects rule the Official Albums, Official Albums Streaming, Official Vinyl Albums, and Official Americana charts. On the first two of those tallies, The Great Divide marks his second top 10, but Kahan is up to three placements inside that tier on the Official Vinyl Albums ranking and four on the Official Americana roster.
The singer-songwriter also sees The Great Divide open at No. 1 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. But unlike on the aforementioned four tallies, he has never reached the peak position. The Great Divide marks his second top 10 and first No. 1 on those two purchase-only rundowns.
It is on the Official Album Downloads chart, the U.K.’s ranking of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs of any genre via platforms such as iTunes, where The Great Divide fails to rule. Your Favorite Toy, the latest full-length by Foo Fighters, blocks Kahan from a clean sweep, as it debuts as high as a project can climb. Foo Fighters collect an eighth champion on the downloads-only tally and second in a row as Your Favorite Toy arrives.
Here are all of the No. 1s by Foo Fighters on the Official Album Downloads chart.
On almost every roster in the U.K. this frame, Kahan beats Foo Fighters, though there are lists where the two do not overlap. The Great Divide dominates the Official Americana chart, which is specific to projects in that one style. On that list, Kahan keeps former Beatle Ringo Starr from hitting No. 1, as his latest solo collection, Long, Long Road, starts at No. 2.
Foo Fighters control the Official Rock and Metal Albums tally, which is where the musicians regularly appear and rule. Your Favorite Toy is the Dave Grohl-fronted group’s twelfth leader. Here are all of the No. 1s by Foo Fighters on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart.
