Robert Plant is an incredibly fortunate musical artist, as he has enjoyed two chapters of his career that brought him fame, fortune, and critical acclaim. As a founding member of Led Zeppelin, he changed the sound of rock music until the group split in 1980. In the decades since, he has proved his worth as both a singer and songwriter on his own, though he occasionally releases songs and even albums alongside other acts.
Plant charts a new hit on the charts in the United Kingdom, his home country, and as his latest release arrives, he establishes a new solo career high.
An EP titled Saving Grace – All That Glitters launches on a trio of tallies in the U.K. this week, and it is alternatively titled "The Blackest Crow" in some areas. When looking at the rosters, the project opens at No. 15 on both the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts, which look at the bestselling songs — or in this case, very short releases — on any physical format and on wax, respectively. The title enters the Official Singles Sales rundown, the list of the top-selling tunes of any style and via any format, one space lower, at No. 16.

On every tally, Plant rises to a never-before-seen peak on his own. Previously, "Hurting Kind (I’ve Got My Eyes on You)" stood as his top performer on the charts. That track brought Plant to the top 20 for the first time on both the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles lists when it reached No. 17 after debuting in June 2021. On the Official Singles Sales register, "Hurting Kind (I’ve Got My Eyes on You)" only spent one week at No. 61.
As Saving Grace – All That Glitters debuts, Plant doubles his total number of wins on the Official Singles Sales chart. He's up to just three appearances on the vinyl tally and half a dozen on the Official Physical Singles ranking.
"Hurting Kind (I’ve Got My Eyes on You)" stood as Plant's most recent debut before Saving Grace – All That Glitters, and the rock superstar had to wait nearly half a decade between his hits.
When Plant first reached all three rosters differs from one to the next. The former Led Zeppelin musician landed on the Official Singles Sales chart for the first time in June 2021. Several years prior, "More Roar" brought him to the Official Vinyl Singles roster in April 2015.
Plant launched on the Official Physical Singles list more than 30 years ago, alongside his former Led Zeppelin bandmate Jimmy Page. The two hit the chart in December 1994 with "Gallows Pole," which became a quick top 40 smash, peaking at No. 35.
Saving Grace – All That Glitters was released as an EP in conjunction with Record Store Day. The 12-inch vinyl features four songs, including the traditional "The Blackest Crow," as well as "Poison Orphan Girl" and "She Cried," none of which Plant – nor did fellow musician Suzi Dian, who is credited in some places, although not on the charts. In Plant's official chart history, the effort is labeled Saving Grace – All That Glitters, but when looking at the rankings themselves, it is the first song, "The Blackest Crow," that appears as its title.
