KPop Demon Hunters has officially spent 52 consecutive weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Films chart for the week ending June 21, 2026. The previous record-holder, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, stayed on the Non-English TV chart for 20 weeks. This run beat that by 32 weeks, more than 2.5 times the old benchmark.

Across that year, the film has accumulated over 20.5 billion viewing minutes in the US alone and over 600 million completed views. Netflix has confirmed no title has ever pulled in more viewers, and the company is positioning the property as the foundation for its next major franchise.

Netflix tracks weekly Top 10 charts in 93 countries, and this film landed in the Top 10 in every single one of them.

‘KPop Demon Hunters’' Billboard And Chart Records

The soundtrack became the first film soundtrack in history to place four songs simultaneously in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10. "Golden" held the number one spot on the Billboard Global 200 for 18 weeks, tying for the longest run at number one on that chart. The song spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first ever number one by a female K-pop act and the longest-running number one by a female group this century.

According to Nielsen’s second annual ARTEY Awards, KPop Demon Hunters was the top kids’ movie of 2025, with 20.5 billion viewing minutes — more than double the runner-up in the general audience category. Nielsen also found the film was the number one most-streamed movie of 2025 among both the 18-34 and 35-49 adult age brackets, defying its classification as a kids’ title. The film’s single most-watched day came on August 16, nearly two months after its premiere — an unusual pattern for a Netflix original, which typically peaks in its first two weeks before declining, per What’s on Netflix. The report also said that as of April 2026, the film had logged an additional 2.7 billion viewing minutes in 2026 alone.

What Comes Next for ‘KPop Demon Hunters’

A sequel to the juggernaut is slated for 2029. The franchise continues to expand into live events, with the HUNTR/X global concert tour, KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience opening at Netflix House locations this holiday season, and a wave of merchandise partnerships spanning Lego, Mattel, Hasbro, Jazwares, Loungefly, Vans, and a collaboration with Korean skincare brand Anua.
