Ever since Drake's album Iceman debuted in the Billboard 200's penthouse, the project, one of three that the Canadian hip-hop musician shared a month ago, has been unbeatable on the ranking of the most-consumed albums and EPs in the United States. Iceman launched with one of the most impressive starting sums of 2026, and though the number of total units it has shifted each period declines – which is to be expected for even the most popular releases – no other studio effort has been able to topple it, at least not yet.

As Iceman conquers the Billboard 200 for yet another week, Drake pulls out of a tie with two musical superstars and scores the longest-running No. 1 album this year.

Drake Rules the Billboard 200 Again With Iceman

Iceman has spent four consecutive weeks dominating the Billboard 200. The set started at No. 1 on the chart dated May 30 with 463,000 equivalent units shifted. In its second tracking period of availability, that number was cut in half, and Iceman earned a second turn at No. 1 with 225,000 units. In its next two weeks on top of the roster, Iceman has failed to shift 200,000 copies, as it moved 171,000 and 133,000 in weeks three and four, respectively.

Iceman Becomes 2026's Longest-Running Leader

Iceman is the first album to collect four turns at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this year. Last frame, when Drake's latest champion landed its third stint on top, it matched with both Arirang by BTS and Noah Kahan's The Great Divide. Those two projects were tied as the longest-running rulers of the year with a trio of weeks on top of the tally apiece, but now they sit in second place on the 2026-specific rundown.

Drake Passes Both BTS and Noah Kahan

BTS became the first act in 2026 to spend three weeks ruling the Billboard 200. The South Korean boy band scored the most impressive debut so far this year when Arirang debuted at No. 1 with 641,000 equivalent units shifted. The group has always performed well on the tally, but this time around, there was pent-up demand for new music from the septet, as its members had been focused on their solo careers and serving in the South Korean military for years.

Ella Langley's Dandelion, her sophomore full-length, became her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after Arirang finished its run. That country set spent two weeks on top before Kahan's The Great Divide became his initial ruler. The Great Divide kicked off its time on the Billboard 200 at the chart’s summit with a little less than 400,000 equivalent units moved. The Americana/rock project then refused to budge from the highest space for three consecutive weeks until Iceman took over.

Drake Recently Scored His Fifteenth Billboard 200 No. 1

When Iceman arrived on the Billboard 200, it became Drake's milestone fifteenth No. 1. With one more ruler to his credit, the Grammy winner passed Jay-Z and became the first solo male musician to rack up 15 rulers. He is tied with Taylor Swift for the second-most leaders of all time, behind only the Beatles, with 19.

Drake Made History With Three Albums Inside the Top 3

Iceman helped Drake make history in several ways as it debuted on the Billboard 200. Iceman was easily the biggest release in the country at that time, and the rapper became the first artist to occupy the highest three spaces on the most competitive albums ranking simultaneously.

Hours before Iceman dropped, Drake announced that, in addition to that anticipated project, another two full-lengths, Habibti and Maid of Honour, were also ready for the public. The Canadian musician became the first act to claim the top three spaces on the Billboard 200 simultaneously as Habibti and Maid of Honour entered the ranking at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.

While those latter two hip-hop efforts have dropped slightly on the Billboard 200 since their debuts, Iceman has held firm. It will almost certainly tumble when Billboard refreshes its rankings, as Olivia Rodrigo's You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is expected to instantly become her third No. 1.
