The musicals The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! each earned 12 nods to top the 2026 Tony Award nominations, announced Tuesday morning in New York. A revival of the classic musical Ragtime earned the second-most nominations with 11.
Both The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! are in the running for the Best Musical Tony Award, along with Titaníque and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York). The Lost Boys is based on the 1987 vampire thriller of the same name, while Schmigadoon! is an adaptation of the Apple TV series of the same name, which ran for two seasons from 2021 to 2023.

Titaníque, meanwhile, is a jukebox musical that spoofs writer-director James Cameron’s 1997 Best Picture Oscar winner Titanic.
The Balusters, Giant, Liberation and Little Bear Ridge Road are the nominees for Best Play; while Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, Becky Shaw, Every Brilliant Thing, Fallen Angels and Oedipus are the nominees for Best Revival of a Play.
The nominees for Best Revival of a Musical are Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime and Richard O’Brien's The Rocky Horror Show.

The nominations for the 79th Annual Tony Awards were announced by actors Uzo Aduba and Darren Criss. The 2026 Tonys will be handed out June 5 at Radio City Musical Hall in New York City.
Grammy Award-winning singer Pink will host the 2026 Tony Awards, which will be broadcast live, starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, on CBS and will stream on Paramount+.
