As one of the three headliners of Coachella this year, Sabrina Carpenter could reasonably have expected her music to climb on charts all around the world at some point around the time of the music festival. Anticipation for one of the most-watched live music events each year is always high, and many of the most famous performers see both albums and songs surge in the days and weeks before Coachella, in the frame between the two weekends, as well as after it’s all over.

Before the shows had even begun, Carpenter’s gain in the United Kingdom is clearly visible. The current charts in that nation reflect activity before Coachella, and yet two of the Grammy winner’s albums climb almost universally, and both manage to become bestsellers and return to the same ranking together. The singer-songwriter may rise even higher when the rosters refresh again, and she may be on her way to a weeks-, if not month-, long growth spurt.

Man’s Best Friend and Short n’ Sweet Return Together

Carpenter’s two most recent full-lengths, Man’s Best Friend and Short n’ Sweet, are once again vinyl bestsellers in the U.K. Neither of those titles landed on the Official Vinyl Albums chart only a week ago, but now they occupy spots inside the top 40.

Man’s Best Friend, her most recent set, reenters in the impressive position of No. 4. Short n’ Sweet, meanwhile, is back at No. 40, narrowly managing to sneak into that important tier.

Fruitcake and Emails I Can’t Send Also Hit the Vinyl Top 10

Throughout her career, Carpenter has placed four projects on the Official Vinyl Albums chart, which looks only at pure purchases throughout the U.K. on wax. Short n’ Sweet marked her first champion, and Man’s Best Friend followed exactly a year later.

Carpenter nearly scored a third winner with her holiday EP Fruitcake, which opened at No. 2 in December 2024 – only months after she landed her first leader – and has not been seen since. Emails I Can’t Send, which helped the then-rising musician attract her largest audience to date, and which set her up for global superstardom, peaked at No. 4 and marked her first trip to the format-specific list.

Man’s Best Friend Surges Across All Album Rankings

Between those two releases, Man’s Best Friend is Carpenter’s biggest winner across the Atlantic. The project lives on five tallies, and it shoots back into the top 10 on all but one of them. As it returns to the Official Vinyl Albums chart, Man’s Best Friend also bolts into the uppermost region on the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales tallies (No. 6 on both), as well as the main roster of the most-consumed albums in the country, the Official Albums chart (No. 9). The Grammy-nominated effort sat outside the top 40 on both the sales and physical rundowns, where its improvement is dramatic.

Man’s Best Friend only misses the top 10 on the Official Albums Streaming chart, but it comes close to finding its way to that region as it ascends from No. 16 to No. 13.

Short n’ Sweet Climbs on Nearly Every Albums Chart

Short n’ Sweet can also be found on the same five lists as Man’s Best Friend, though it does not fare nearly as well. Carpenter’s breakout set approaches the top 10 on the Official Albums chart, pushing from No. 22 to No. 15. It’s also a top 40 win once more on the Official Albums Streaming (No. 16), Official Physical Albums (No. 34), and Official Albums Sales (No. 40) registers. Short n’ Sweet, which contains many of Carpenter’s most identifiable tracks, only falls on the streaming roster, and by just two pegs.

“Espresso” and “Please Please Please” Reappear

Five hit songs by Carpenter are big wins once more in the U.K., and several mount comebacks. “Espresso” becomes a bestseller again on two tallies. “Please Please Please” reenters the top 40 on a sales ranking, and “House Tour,” her current focus from Man’s Best Friend, breaks back onto the Official Streaming chart at No. 47.
