Last week, the charts in countries like the United Kingdom and the United States were packed with special offerings from singers and groups that were all connected to Record Store Day. Twice a year, record labels and quite a few well-known acts drop new material or rerelease beloved singles and albums on collectible vinyl, but the offerings are only available in record stores. The aim is to bring huge groups of fans into stores, which have been suffering for many years following the introduction of platforms like iTunes and Spotify.
Days after dozens of titles became fast bestsellers, most have disappeared, which makes quite a bit of room for regular performers to return. In the U.K., Ariana Grande is one of the major beneficiaries when it comes to this absence of Record Store Day titles, and the Grammy-winning singer and Oscar-nominated actress brings multiple hits back to the same roster.
Four different tracks by Grande find their way back to the Official Physical Singles chart this time around. The tally looks at the bestselling tunes available on any physical format, and its methodology takes into account purchases on CD, cassette, and vinyl, but not digital downloads.
Grande’s highest-ranking return this frame is her solo cut “Positions,” which is back at No. 52. “The Girl In The Bubble,” one of two new songs written for Wicked: For Good, reappears at No. 63. Another two tracks, “34+35” and “Hampstead,” reenter the Official Physical Singles tally at Nos. 65 and 84, respectively.
All four of Grande’s current hits on the Official Physical Singles chart have spent time inside not only the top 10, but the top three. Among her quartet of current winners, only “34+35” has led the charge. That song is one of four rulers by Grande, and it is her most recent, as it debuted atop the list earlier this year.
Both “Positions” and “Hampstead” missed reaching the summit by one space, while “The Girl In The Bubble” stalled at No. 3.
Speaking of “The Girl In The Bubble,” that is Grande’s shortest-running success on the Official Physical Singles chart among her four current placements. The Wicked: For Good song has only spent half a dozen frames somewhere on the 100-space register. “34+35” is up to a lucky 13 turns on the tally, while “Positions” and “Hampstead” have racked up 22 and 27 weeks on the roster, respectively.
One other tune taken from Wicked: For Good finds its way to the Official Physical Singles chart, but Grande is not credited. Cynthia Erivo performed “No Place Like Home” in the second of two Wicked films, and alongside “The Girl In The Bubble,” it was the other track penned specifically for the sequel. The former top 10 hit – it peaked at No. 9 – appears on the Official Physical Singles list for only the second time as it reenters at No. 86.
None of Grande’s solo albums can be found on the charts in the U.K. at the moment, although both the original Wicked and Wicked: For Good live on multiple lists. Wicked returns to the top 10 on the Official Soundtrack Albums ranking, jumping from No. 11 to No. 9. At the same time, it improves several spaces to No. 22 on the Official Compilations tally. In both instances, the first of the two Wicked albums has spent 75 weeks on those rosters.

Wicked: For Good nearly joins the first Wicked inside the highest tier on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart, but misses out on that region and instead rises to No. 12. Wicked: For Good is steady at No. 37 on the Official Compilations ranking.
The original Broadway cast’s take on Wicked, which has been around for decades, improves slightly from No. 87 to No. 79 on the Official Compilations chart. This week, there are three Wicked albums on the same roster, which speaks to the musical’s immense popularity.
