To simply call this week the best of Ella Langley’s career on the Billboard charts would be severely understating just how well her music is performing at the moment. The rising superstar’s single "Choosin' Texas" continues to lead the Billboard Hot 100 in what has turned out to be a historically-long streak at No. 1.

At the same time, its parent album, the highly anticipated Dandelion, storms the Billboard 200, launching in first place. Langley’s first leaders on the two most important rankings in America highlight her incredible popularity, and this time around, she ties the most successful artist in the world right now in a very specific feat.

"Choosin’ Texas" and Dandelion Make History Together

Billboard reports that Langley is only the second female musician to dominate both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 at the same time with country music. The music magazine defines what counts as country as albums and songs that have reached both the Hot Country Songs and Top Country Albums tallies, which are specific to that one style.

"All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" and Red (Taylor’s Version)

The first time a solo female artist ruled both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 with country music took place only a few years back, in November 2021. Taylor Swift conquered the Billboard Hot 100 with "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)." The extended take of one of her most celebrated compositions was featured on Red (Taylor’s Version), which launched at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 at the same time.

Billboard notes that while Swift beat Langley to this feat by nearly half a decade, her wins were re-recordings of material that fans already knew. Langley is the first female artist to accomplish this showing with entirely original work.

"Choosin’ Texas" and Dandelion Both Rule Five Charts

Both "Choosin' Texas" and Dandelion sit at No. 1 on five different Billboard rosters apiece. For its part, Dandelion launches in first place on the Billboard 200, as well as the Top Album Sales, Top Streaming Albums, Vinyl Albums, and Top Country Albums lists.

"Choosin' Texas" refuses to budge from the summit on just as many tallies. The biggest hit of 2026 once again rules not only the Billboard Hot 100, but also the non-genre-specific Streaming Songs chart. It similarly commands nearly every country roster, as "Choosin' Texas" keeps at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs, and Country Digital Song Sales rundowns.

Ella Langley’s "Choosin’ Texas" Continues to Lead Several Lists

Dandelion only manages landing on those five rosters, while "Choosin' Texas" appears on an additional eight Billboard charts. On top of those that it leads, Langley sits near the summit on competitive rankings like the Digital Song Sales (No. 2), Country Airplay (No. 3), Billboard Global 200 (No. 5, a new peak, up from No. 8 last time around), and Radio Songs (No. 9) lists.

Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl Misses the Top 10

Langley and Swift nearly appear inside the top 10 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 together, although Swift misses the highest tier and sits just beneath that region. On the Billboard Hot 100, "The Fate of Ophelia" remains the biggest hit from the superstar’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl. This frame, "The Fate of Ophelia," a former multi-week champion, holds at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Second single "Opalite" dips to No. 17, while current focus "Elizabeth Taylor" falls to No. 51.

The Life of a Showgirl, meanwhile, declines from No. 11 to No. 15. Swift does easily outpace Langley on the Billboard 200 in one regard, as eight of her albums appear. Both of Langley’s full-lengths, Dandelion and Hungover, live inside the top 25.
