BINI’s performance at Coachella 2026 made history as the Philippines’ first pop group performing at the tastemaking festival.

Alongside a troupe of male dancers, the eight-member girl group hit the Mojave Stage at 4:15 p.m. local time in golden outfits that showcased a modernized take on traditional Filipino fashion, including salakot hats that were quickly thrown off, to perform a remixed version of their 2025 single “Shagidi” as the set’s opening number.

Before heading into the next song, the girls ripped off their opening looks and revealed colorful tropical-tribal getups that felt perfectly festival-ready for the desert.

“We are so grateful to be here to represent the Philippines on a global stage and to share with you guys our music,” Aiah said as she and members Jhoanna, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha and Sheena introduced themselves to a massive audience where one could spot multiple Filipino flags.

Group leader Jhoanna added, “Coachella, are you having a great time? We are BINI, we are so hyped to be here and we hope you’re all ready to party with us in the desert.”

While BINI first formed in 2019 through the ABS-CBN show Star Hunt Academy, the Forbes 30 Under 30 - Asia - Entertainment honorees kept their setlist to material from 2023 to today including the first performance of their new single “Blush,” as part of their just-released EP Signals, which dropped a day before their Coachella debut.

The 45-minute stage also included some of BINI’s biggest hits like “Pantropiko” (boasting 119 million views on its official performance video on YouTube) and “Salamin, Salamin” (which has over 201 million streams on Spotify and was named the best BINI song by Rolling Stone Philippines).
