Jade Cargill And Rhea Ripley Face Off As Jade Cargill Def. Alexa Bliss

• Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin opened SmackDown and were showered with boos. This is to be expected since a) These women are heels and b) Nobody gets more heat overseas than Black women. Not to be outdone, the heat in Barcelona was nuclear. Cargill said these fans were acting like she had something to prove and vowed to beat Rhea Ripley at Clash in Italy.
• Rhea Ripley interrupted to what might have been the biggest pop of the night. Rhea said that Jade needs people to make her look good, but when it came down to them wrestling each other, Rhea came out on top. Ripley vowed to retain as the true champion and Barcelona cheered like crazy.
• Fans booed as Cargill clapped back. Jade said women work with her because they want a piece of power. Fans chanted STFU as Charlotte and Alexa entered the group chat.
• Fans chanted for Alexa as she went back-and-forth with Jade. Bliss threatened “I’ve gone back-and-forth with people way better than you. So do not make me embarrass you before your career gets started.”
• Nick Aldis walked out to a huge pop and started WWE’s Euro-tour with a singles match between Jade Cargill and Alexa Bliss.
• Jade Cargill brilliantly played through the crowd throughout a match she dominated. Cargill hit an impressive power bomb on the guardrail and fans loudly rallied behind Alexa. Bliss made a furious comeback before Michin interfered, leading to a four-woman brawl on the outside.
• Cargill blocked Twisted Bliss with her knees and hit a pump kick followed by Jaded for the win. Cargill followed up with a steel chair attack, but Ripley and Charlotte made the save.

Match Grade: B+

Axiom Def. The Miz

• Backstage, The Miz requested an extension on his match against hometown favorite Axiom. Nick Aldis refused as Danhausen (huge pop) shuffled around backstage looking to “improv.”
• Axiom was given a hero’s welcome by Lilian Garcia with a Spanish introduction that noted he was from Spain. Fans were unanimously behind Axiom, chanting “¡si se puede!” Nate Frazer even got involved as part of a two-on-one advantage against Heel Miz.
• Miz and Axiom wrestled a nice, long match that was both of their best in years. As Miz went in for the kill on the top ropes, the lights flickered as Miz stumbled. Axiom took advantage and won the match with a Spanish Fly.

Match Grade: A

MFT Def. Royce Keys And Damian Priest

• Royce Keys subbed in for R-Truth, but Damian Priest was dubious of Keys’ ties to Solo Sikoa since the two “go way back.”
• Priest slowly gained trust for keys as the match went on. The MFTs took turns battering Royce as fans chanted “F-U Solo” and “OTC.” Keys hit an impressive chokebomb and made the hot tag to Priest.
• With the referee’s back turned, Solo hit a Samoan Spike on Priest. R-Truth made the save, causing an outside distraction.Back inside the ring, Talla hit a T-Bomb chokeslam for the win.

Match Grade: B

Sami Zayn Def. Matt Cardona

• Sami Zayn crashed out on Cody Rhodes backstage stemming from Zayn walking out on Rhodes as Gunther attacked the WWE champion. This altercation led to another altercation with mutual friend Matt Cardona.
• Matt Cardona and Sami Zayn continued the theme of long, heated matches. Cardona didn’t get much of a reaction during his entrance, but he worked hard and really won over the crowd, who engaged in dueling chants for Zayn and Cardona.
• Cardona almost won with a Rough Ryder, but Zayn recovered and hit a desperation Helluva Kick for the win.

Match Grade: B+

Trick Williams’ Barcelona Debut | Ricky Saints Vs. Carmelo Hayes

• Barcelona couldn’t wait to sing “whoop that trick” as Lil Yachty carried a diamond-encrusted “Trick Stick.” Trick Williams announced his intentions to become King of the Ring.
• Carmelo interrupted another great Trick Williams promo. “King of the microphone? Yes. King of the entrance? Yes. King of the Ring? No.” Melo once again challenged Trick Williams for a title shot.
• Fans went back-and-forth chanting for Melo and Trick. Williams said Melo keeps making excuses. He called Carmelo “Melodramatic.” The two were interrupted by Ricky Saints.
• Saints challenged Williams as well. Trick laid Ricky out with a Trick Slap before Lil Yachty pulled the champion away from Melo.
• Melo and Ricky Saints had an excellent back-and-forth match that resulted in a double countout. After being very so emotionally invested in this near-perfect match, Barcelona was beside itself.

Chelsea Green Def. Nia Jax

• Chelsea Green tried to recruit Tiffany Stratton to be in her corner, but Chelsea declined. Chelsea faced a two-on-one disadvantage against Jax and Lash Legend, who reminded the announce team that today is Nia Jax’s birthday.
• Fans were really into Chelsea Green, chanting her name throughout the match. Jax hit a Samoan Drop on the underdog Green and set her up for an Annihilator. Finally, Stratton hit the ring to even the odds. Tiffany came from behind as Jax awaited her to come from the entranceway. The distraction led to Green scoring the upset win over Jax.

Match Grade: B-

Cody Rhodes Faces Off With Gunther

• Fans gave Cody Rhodes a huge babyface reaction and they booed Gunther, who received “what” chants during his promo. Gunther said Cody Rhodes represents the death of the American Dream. The Spanish crowd applauded this.
• Gunther said that he embodied the American Dream more than Cody did. Gunther had to scratch and claw from his home country and make it on his own. For Cody? WWE was always one phone call away. Gunther called Cody a spoiled brat. All Gunther cares about is being the best, and Gunther is here to protect the business from people like him. Gunther Called Cody a “mark for himself.” Some fans seemed legitimately swayed by Gunther’s words.
• Cody responded by calling Gunther a liar. Gunther does want the attention from being on an ESPN PLE. Gunther does want to appear on talk shows and have fans chanting his name. By the end of Cody’s rant, fans applauded him. Cody called the WWE Championship addictive, and Gunther is “just as sick as I am.” Cody told Gunther he just wasn’t good enough. Gunther got the last word, reminding Cody of all the WWE legends he retired.
• Gunther vowed to choke Cody out at Clash in Italy and stormed off.
