The record-breaking septet kicked off their Arirang World Tour on April 9, 2026, at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, marking BTS’s return to live performances after completing military service. If you’re just catching up, or if you’ve been counting down since 2022, here's everything you need to know.
The Arirang World Tour is BTS’s largest concert tour to date, spanning more than 82 dates in 34 cities across 23 countries, running from April 2026 through March 2027.
The album fueling it has already broken records. ARIRANG debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, earning 641,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, the largest week by units for a group since the chart began calculating units in December 2014, and BTS's best US sales week. The album spent two consecutive weeks at number one, their first album to do so. The lead single "Swim" debuted at number one on the Hot 100 and spent two consecutive weeks on the chart.
The performances feature a 360-degree stage setup. Rather than a traditional proscenium stage with the audience in front, fans surround the performance area on all sides, meaning no bad seat in the stadium, and a fundamentally different visual and physical experience from any previous BTS tour.
The Gwanghwamun Square comeback live on March 21 drew 18.4 million global viewers on Netflix, reaching the weekly Netflix top 10 in 80 countries and the number-one spot in 24 countries. The opening Goyang and Tokyo shows are also being broadcast live in cinemas worldwide — Goyang on April 11, Tokyo on April 18 — transforming them into hybrid live-cinema events with high-definition projection and immersive audio.

The show opened with ARIRANG cuts "Hooligan" and "Aliens," followed by "Run BTS," live debuts of "they don't know 'bout us" and "Merry Go Round," and continued with "Like Animals," "FAKE LOVE," and "SWIM." Act 2 brought "2.0," "NORMAL," "Not Today" for the first time since 2021, "MIC Drop," "FYA," "Fire," "Body to Body," and "IDOL."
The encore featured "Come Over," "Butter," "Dynamite," "Mikrokosmos," "I Need U" for the first time since 2021, and closed with live debuts of "Please" and "Into the Sun."
For new fans, that encore is essentially an orientation: "Butter," "Dynamite," and "IDOL" are some of their most popular songs and as good an entry point as any into why BTS became the biggest act of the last decade.

Its center and title inspiration comes from a 600-year-old Korean folk song about longing, sorrow, and resilience. "It was all about showcasing who we are, our identity and our roots," j-hope told Apple Music. The album is a strong entry point, but streaming "Dynamite," "Butter," "Boy With Luv," and "DNA" beforehand will give you the crowd-moment muscle memory you need.
ARIRANG is the group's first release since they went on hiatus, and their first studio album in nearly six years. The setlist goes deeper than any previous BTS tour, with live debuts, remixes, and songs that haven't been performed since 2021. The 360-degree stage reconfigures the entire spatial relationship between the members and their audience. A documentary, BTS: THE RETURN, directed by Bao Nguyen and capturing the making of ARIRANG, premiered on Netflix on March 27.
All North American and European shows sold out within hours of both the ARMY Membership presale and general sale. The only region where official tickets may still be available through primary channels is the Asian leg — Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the 2027 Oceania, Hong Kong, and Manila dates — as ticketing for several of those cities has not yet been fully released. Resale is available through Ticketmaster Verified Resale, StubHub, and SeatGeek.
