Another Sunday, another Wordle to solve. It’s also Mother’s Day, so a very big Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and to all the amazing moms out there, and to the single dads and grandparents and everyone else raising kids and taking on mom responsibilities, too. They’re big responsibilities, no doubt.
Be sure to check out my friendly neighborhood weekend streaming guide as well. Who knows, there might even be some TV show or movie you could watch with your mom in there! And now, let’s solve this Wordle!

Use these clues to narrow down your guesses. Every day brings a new word, and everyone around the world is trying to solve the same puzzle. Some Wordlers also play Competitive Wordle against friends, family, the Wordle Bot or even against me, your humble narrator. See rules for Competitive Wordle toward the end of this post.

Once again, the Bot and I tied for three, giving us one point each and inching our totals forward. Lucky for the Bot that I didn’t go with my gut today! Not so lucky for me. Our May scores:
Erik: 17 points
Wordle Bot: 3 points
“Parka” comes from Nenets (a Samoyedic language of Arctic Russia) parka, meaning an animal-skin coat or hooded garment. It entered English through Russian and referred to the heavy fur-lined outerwear used by Arctic peoples.
