Variety reported that the film brought in $10 million in U.S. Thursday night previews, with the sequel projected to earn between $75 million and $80 million in its opening weekend. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is being released by 20th Century Studios, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. That makes the company’s two streaming platforms, Hulu and Disney+, the most likely landing spots. The original The Devil Wears Prada is currently available on Disney+.
Based on Disney’s typical release pattern, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is expected to arrive on streaming roughly three to four months after its May 1 theatrical debut, pointing to a likely window between August 1, 2026, and September 1, 2026.
That timeline is consistent with several recent Disney titles. Zootopia 2, for example, began streaming on Disney+ on March 11, 2026, just over three months after its theatrical release. Other films, including Freakier Friday, Fantastic Four: First Steps, Captain America: Brave New World and Mufasa: The Lion King, have followed a similar three-to-four-month window.
Note: Hulu is being integrated into Disney+, with the standalone Hulu app expected to be phased out. Subscribers will access Hulu content through Disney+ as part of a unified streaming platform, scheduled to roll out sometime this year.

Don’t want to wait until almost the fall to watch the movie at home? Before The Devil Wears Prada 2 arrives on Disney+ and Hulu, the film will likely be available to watch at home through digital video on demand (VOD).
As part of the digital VOD release, the sequel will debut first on platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, where it will be available for rent or purchase. The price will likely be around $29.99 to purchase and $24.99 to rent.
Studios typically release their films digitally about 45 to 65 days after premiering in theaters. The Devil Wears Prada 2 could become available to watch at home digitally as early as mid-to-late June 2026.
