After months of rumors and speculation, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce appear likely to hold their wedding at Madison Square Garden around the July 4 holiday, with the streets around the iconic venue to be shut down for about two days starting July 2.

The New York Times, citing permits filed with the city, reports that streets around Madison Square Garden will close from July 2 to midday July 4 for an event on July 3, according to three unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Hotel rooms have been booked for several members of the Kansas City Chiefs at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square around July 3, the Times reported, noting an unnamed city official who said Madison Square Garden is planning to host wedding festivities on July 3.

The event planning company behind the event is Winick Productions, which requested authorization from New York City to put up a tent or canopy outside MSG and said the wedding would include between 500 and 999 attendees, according to the Times.

Swift announced her engagement to Kelce in August, about two years after the singer and football player began their relationship.

The Times noted the nuptials might not take place at MSG, but may instead be done elsewhere ahead of time.
