The wait is over. Disney and Pixar’s latest animated film, Hoppers, is now available to stream on digital platforms after debuting on the big screen in March.
Directed by Daniel Chong, Piper Curda voices Mabel, an animal lover who gets the chance to use new technology that lets her “hop” her consciousness into a lifelike robotic beaver, enabling her to communicate directly with animals. The star-studded voice cast also includes Meryl Streep, Dave Franco, Kathy Najimy, Jon Hamm, Bobby Moynihan and Piper Curda.
“As she uncovers mysteries in the animal world beyond anything she could have imagined, Mabel befriends charismatic beaver King George and must rally the entire animal kingdom to face a major, imminent human threat: smooth-talking local mayor Jerry Generazzo,” Disney’s synopsis reads.

Newsweek writer Billie Melissa praised Pixar’s latest feature as “thoughtful, heartfelt, and profound in a way that warms you in a divisive world.”

If you’re waiting to watch Pixar’s latest release on Disney+, you’ll have to wait a little longer. While Disney hasn’t set an official release date yet, the studio’s previous films can offer clues about when it could arrive on the platform.
Typically, Disney will release its movies on Disney+ around three to four months after its theatrical premiere. If Hoppers sticks to that pattern after its March theatrical debut, fans can expect a Disney+ release sometime in June or July 2026.
This three-to-four-month window mirrors the strategy used for other recent Disney blockbusters. Hits like Freakier Friday, Fantastic Four: First Steps, Captain America: Brave New World, and Mufasa: The Lion King remained exclusive to theaters and digital VOD for more than three months before arriving on the platform. Even the record-breaking Zootopia 2 followed took four months to make its Disney+ streaming debut on March 11.
