The countdown is on for the second season of Berlín. Pedro Alonso is back as Berlín, the charismatic, witty and pleasure-loving mastermind thief audiences first met in the global phenomenon La Casa de Papel (Money Heist), and have since followed into his earlier years as the star of the prequel series.
Netflix dropped the official trailer for Berlín and the Lady with an Ermine ahead of the May 15 global premiere, teasing a new challenge that reunites the gang and once again puts Berlín's love of romance on a collision course with his love of a perfect heist.
The new eight-episode season moves the action from Paris to Seville, where Berlín and his gang take on their most ambitious job yet: stealing Leonardo Da Vinci's iconic 15th-century masterpiece, Lady with an Ermine.
But there's a twist. They're only pretending to steal the painting. Their real target is the Duke of Málaga and his wife, a couple who made the mistake of trying to blackmail Berlín. What they don't expect is that their challenge will awaken his darkest side and his thirst for revenge.
The new season promises dark humor, action and more than a few explosive moments, literally and figuratively.
Explosions are part of the action in Season 2 of "Berlín."

Season 1 of Berlín, which followed the character’s earlier exploits in Paris, where he and his gang plotted to steal 63 royal jewels from 34 cities in a single afternoon, became a global hit. The eight-episode season remained in Netflix's Top 10 for seven consecutive weeks, amassing 348 million hours viewed.
Berlín and the Lady with an Ermine was created by Álex Pina (Money Heist, Sky Rojo) and Esther Martínez Lobato (Money Heist, Sky Rojo).
The season was written by Pina and Martínez Lobato alongside David Barrocal, Lorena G. Maldonado, Itziar Sanjuán, Humberto Ortega and Luis Garrido Julve.
