63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards – Telecast

Several Bruno Mars hits, including "That's What I Like," "God Was Showing Off" and "Cha Cha Cha" return to the Billboard charts as "Risk It All" surges to new heights. This week, an even dozen songs by Bruno Mars take up space on at least one Billboard chart. In many instances, those hits, which come from multiple eras of his chart-topping career, live on several rosters, especially those featured on his latest album The Romantic.

Four of those 12 tracks reappear on several of Billboard’s genre-specific tallies, while one, yet again, ranks as one of the bestselling cuts in the United States.

"God Was Showing Off" and "Cha Cha Cha" Return

Of Mars’s comebacks on the Billboard charts this week, two reappear on the same list. "God Was Showing Off" and "Cha Cha Cha," both taken from The Romantic, reappear nearly side-by-side on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. That roster, like all published by the company that begin with the word “Hot,” ranks tracks using sales, streaming, and airplay data. "God Was Showing Off" is the bigger returning favorite of the two, as it comes in at No. 46, while "Cha Cha Cha" breaks back in at No. 48.

"That’s What I Like" Returns to a Streaming Chart

Over on the R&B Streaming Songs chart, which looks only at consumption of R&B music on platforms like Spotify, a much older tune reappears. "That’s What I Like," which debuted on the list almost a decade ago, returns at No. 14.

"That’s What I Like," taken from Mars’s Grammy-winning album 24K Magic, extends its lead as his longest-charting success, with 71 turns on the tally to its credit. 15 of those — one more than "I Just Might" — have been spent at No. 1. In a few days, when Billboard refreshes its rosters, there’s a high likelihood that "I Just Might," which is steady at No. 1 yet again this frame, will tie "That’s What I Like" as the singer-songwriter’s sturdiest leader.

"Risk It All" Becomes a Bestseller Again

Perhaps most excitingly, the second official single from The Romantic, "Risk It All," is a bestseller again in America. The track reenters the Digital Song Sales chart at No. 23 after previously topping out at No. 2.

Only three cuts break back onto the Digital Song Sales chart this week, and they come from two male superstars. "Risk It All" trails a pair of Bieber comebacks, as "Beauty and a Beat," a collaboration with Nicki Minaj, as well as his own "Daisies," reenter at Nos. 8 and 17, respectively.

"Risk It All" Climbs to New Peaks on Several Radio Charts

Neither "God Was Showing Off" nor "Cha Cha Cha" establish new high points on the tally where they reappear, though the two official singles from The Romantic do hit never-before-seen highs on other rosters.

"I Just Might," which has now been going strong for months, lifts from No. 20 to No. 15 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. That tally is one of well over a dozen on which the song appears, but the only one where it ascends to a new all-time peak.

"Risk It All," meanwhile, is growing at radio across multiple formats. "Risk It All" establishes new peaks on the Rhythmic Airplay (No. 9), Adult R&B Airplay (No. 11), and the general Radio Songs charts (No. 18). Mars collects his milestone twenty-second top 10 on the Rhythmic Airplay tally as "Risk It All" improves from No. 11 to No. 9.
