There’s a “heat dome” over British Columbia, where I’m currently on holiday with my kids, and I’m ready for it to dissipate. I’m ready for rain and gloom and chilly days that you can counteract with a sweater and a hot coffee. I’m not complaining — it’s lovely weather for fun in the water — but I’m not great with heat and I’m feeling rather run down. Oh well! Rain is in the forecast. So is today’s Wordle. Shall we?

TRADE wasn’t a great opening guess, leaving me with only one yellow box and 146 remaining words. HOIST slashed that down to just three, and then I guessed with real skill: UNITY for the win!

Either I’m on a roll or the Wordle Bot has really hit a snag or both. Either way, I once again beat the Bot with 3, which adds up to 2 points, and the Bot guessed in four, so 0 points for that and -1 for losing to me. Our June divide expands even further:
Erik: 22 points
Wordle Bot: 4 points
“Unity” comes from Latin unitas, meaning “oneness” or “state of being one,” from unus (“one”). It entered English through Old French and has long referred to harmony, cohesion, or the condition of being joined into a whole.
