CRS 2026 - The Conversation Featuring Ella Langley And Jo Dee Messina

Ella Langley has ruled the Billboard Hot 100 throughout much of 2026 with her breakout hit "Choosin' Texas." The single, taken from her recently released sophomore album Dandelion – which not long ago became her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 – was not the track that introduced Langley to country audiences, but it is the song that brought her to mainstream prominence.

"Choosin' Texas" holds as the biggest smash in America, but that is not Langley's most exciting bit of news at the moment. The singer-songwriter manages a first for women and country as she nearly replaces herself atop the busiest songs ranking in the largest music market in the world.

Ella Langley Holds at No. 1 – and Rises to No. 2

"Choosin’ Texas" is steady at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 once again, ranking as the most-consumed cut in the nation. This frame marks the blockbuster's ninth stint running the show. As "Choosin' Texas" proves unbeatable once again, Langley's follow-up single "Be Her" climbs to a new peak. The musician currently sits at Nos. 1 and 2 with her Dandelion tracks.

It's relatively rare for any musical act to claim the highest two spots on the Billboard Hot 100, and when looking specifically at country music, it is nearly unheard of. Billboard reports that Langley is the first female typically known for recording country music to manage the feat.

Only one other country artist, Morgan Wallen, accomplished the showing, and he did so for the first time just last year. On the Billboard Hot 100 dated May 31, 2025, Wallen filled not only the top two slots, but the highest three. That frame, "What I Want," his collaboration with Canadian pop musician Tate McRae, launched at No. 1, "Just in Case" climbed to a new high of No. 2, while "I'm the Problem," a former Billboard Hot 100 runner-up, lifted from sixth place to third.

"Choosin’ Texas" Rules Half a Dozen Billboard Charts

Of the 13 Billboard charts where "Choosin' Texas" makes a home, the smash rules half a dozen of them. The career-defining win is steady atop the Billboard Hot 100, as well as the Streaming Songs, Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs tallies. "Choosin' Texas" rebounds from second place to first on both the Digital Song Sales and Country Digital Song Sales rankings as well.

"Be Her" Climbs to New Highs on Several Rosters

"Be Her," the second official single taken from Dandelion, appears on nine rosters published by Billboard, and the cut climbs to a never-before-seen peak on one-third of all those lists. In addition to the Billboard Hot 100, "Be Her" ascends to No. 5 on the Country Airplay chart, and it is up one peg to No. 17 on the Radio Songs tally. The first of those two lists focuses on the most successful songs played at country radio stations throughout the U.S., while the Radio Songs list doesn't look at just one style.

Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen’s Collaboration Grows

Langley and Wallen share this specific bit of history on the Billboard Hot 100, but that's not all they have in common. Last week, the two launched a collaboration titled "I Can't Love You Anymore" on a variety of charts, and the tune remains a big hit on nearly every roster.

"I Can't Love You Anymore" helps Langley triple up inside the Billboard Hot 100's top 10 once more as it dips just one slot to No. 8. The cut also appears within the highest tier on the Digital Song Sales, Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales lists. "I Can't Love You Anymore" steps up one space to No. 4 on the Streaming Songs chart, reaching a new high in its second stint.
