CHASKA, Minn. — Hazeltine National Golf Club takes center stage this week as the host of the 2026 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, with much of the spotlight fixed on Nelly Korda and her pursuit of history.

The world No. 1 arrives in Minnesota seeking her third consecutive major championship, adding yet another chapter to what has already been a dominant 2026 campaign. Korda has won four times this season, including the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in January, the Chevron Championship in April, the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba in May, and the U.S. Women’s Open earlier this month.

Only two women in golf history have won three consecutive majors in a single season: Inbee Park in 2013 and Babe Zaharias in 1950. Korda now stands one victory away from joining that exclusive company.

The stakes extend well beyond another major title. Korda also has an opportunity to secure the career Grand Slam while moving one step closer to immortality in the LPGA Hall of Fame. Widely regarded as one of the most difficult halls of fame in sports to enter, the LPGA Hall requires 27 points for induction. Korda currently sits two points shy of that mark, meaning a fifth career major championship worth two points, would secure her place among the game's all-time greats.

The setup at Hazeltine appears tailor-made for Korda's strengths. Stretching to nearly 6,800 yards and featuring rough that is expected to be only modestly more penal than a typical LPGA Tour stop, the course should reward players with length off the tee and elite ball-striking—two areas where Korda consistently excels.

With history, a career Grand Slam, and a spot in the LPGA Hall of Fame all potentially within reach, the world's top-ranked player enters the week carrying enormous expectations. If Korda delivers once again, Hazeltine could become the site of one of the most significant victories of her already remarkable career.
