Eddie Hearn is seemingly looking to call Dana White's bluff. At the UFC 327 post-event press conference, White acknowledged he'd been offered a boxing match against rival promoter, Hearn. White seemed a bit coy when answering, but also downplayed the fight saying the two of them were bums. He also called Hearn a "p####."
That said, he didn't completely shut it down.
Hearn just pushed it to another level. Appearing as a guest on the Ariel Helwani show on Tuesday, the Matchroom promoter said, "I'm in."
"Turki’s kind of asked me if I would do it," Hearn said. "And we’ve had, we’ve had conversations and an offer from Misfits as well. So, yeah, it’s quite interesting. I mean, he’s kind of got me a bit excited about it, to be honest with you. I mean, he called me out on the Piers Morgan Show for a fight. I explained that I’m pretty useless. I've seen him spar. He looks quite decent. So, I've got into a little bit of training. I've started to think about it. I've started to visualize my ring walk music. And I've started to get very excited by the money. And now he's kind of, he keeps calling me a p###y, but I'm like, well, let's see if I'm a p###y. And then he says, yeah, but we're both bums and we'll go on the start. And I mean, you know, with this big gigantic huge, I mean, we would make 30 million each. So, I'm all over it. So, you know, stick me in, put my name down, find me a pair of shorts and I'll travel. So, he called me out. I accept."

Hearn probably isn't bluffing. If he believes he could make $30 million, it's very likely he'd give it a shot.
The question is more if White will say yes.
Hearn made his position clear on Helwani’s platform — he’s had direct conversations with Turki Alalshikh and confirmed a formal offer from Misfits Boxing. The public acceptance puts White in an uncomfortable position, especially given that he’s the one who started throwing the nasty language around in the first place.
As Hearn frames it, the insult is now a challenge, and he's taken it.
If it's really $30 million, White can't turn his nose up at that kind of money. White used to be a boxer and his love for the sport is obvious in his passion for Zuffa Boxing. He'd also probably love an opportunity to punch Hearn in the face, and likewise, Hearn probably wouldn't mind landing some shots on White.
The physical matchup is interesting on paper too. Hearn is younger and carries a significant height advantage at around 6'5" compared to White's 5'11". White does have a legitimate sparring background and leans on that credibility, but those factors make this more compelling than a typical celebrity crossover.
The Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov card this past weekend showed how much a big personality moment can overshadow even the fights themselves — and White vs. Hearn would carry that same energy.
My guess is Alalshikh will not allow Misfits Boxing to outbid him. Hearn and White likely know that as well, so if they're serious, they may be waiting on the counteroffer.
Misfits has already put $10 million each on the table publicly, which is a credible number for a crossover spectacle of this kind. But if the Saudi machine fully commits, that figure climbs considerably — and at $30 million each, even the most skeptical participant starts doing math.
