While I learn something new about Crimson Desert every single day, despite 260 hours in and playing for over a month at this point, this new thing? This is blowing my mind more than almost anything else.

I truly have no idea how this was discovered. I suppose with 5 million copies sold and 5 million players doing 5 million different playthroughs, this may have come out eventually, but I mean, wow.

I do not know where this originated. I found it through Gamerlill Games, but I don’t think they were the original source. But here’s what’s been found.

The long and short here is that at this point, many players know that when you increase vendor affinity through gifts and get them to 100, they will unlock a few new, often cool or strong items in their shops, ranging from more weapons and armor to something as simple as seeds. But it turns out there’s another way to get even more secret stuff from them.

I’m still testing this, but right now it seems like this is a selection of region-based secret horse armor where it doesn’t just give you a cool cosmetic, but they have quite strong stats as well. The process is this:

For now, this only appears to work in Varnia and Delesyia (Update: Also Demesiss, sort of)

• Go to the reputation shop in the main city in the region. This is where you buy things with the separate currency you get from doing side missions in the zone which can reach 100.

• There will be a “crown” type item in the shop that will cost the most rep out of anything, 70. I imagine most people wouldn’t have already bought it as why would you spend 70% of your rep on a tiny, not that cool crown. But buy it.

• Once you have it, put it on, then go the saddlery in the region. You do not have to have any affinity with them that would unlock the first set of secret armor. But now they will now have a very expensive, second set of secret horse armor you can purchase with bonus stats. Also in Deleysia, a stamina-generating horseshoe.

Update: I have found that if you do this in Demesiss, you unlock a “Leather Riding Hat,” though I’m not sure if it does anything other than look neat.

Things I am still testing:

• If other shops have bonus items. Nothing at places like the clothes vendor or armory so far.
• If some of the signet rings from the shop do anything

This is just wild. At this point, I wonder what else is going to be discovered next week, but this is one of the craziest I’ve seen so far. And I’ve seen a lot of these.
