Severance
Apple TV
It’s well known at this point just how vast the gaps are between seasons of many shows, but few are as long as Severance, which had a yawning chasm of a 3-year break in between seasons 1 and 2 of the show. Season 3 does not appear to be shaping up all that much better, as of yet.
Now, that gap has allowed its stars to head elsewhere. We’ve seen Adam Scott in the horror movie Hokum, Zach Cherry in Fallout and now, Britt Lower has arrived to star in an entire Netflix miniseries, I Will Find You, another Harlan Coben novel adaptation. Lower plays Helly (two of them) on Severance, and won an Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2025, so Netflix is lucky to have her.
I Will Find You, as you may guess, is about finding someone. That would be a father who is imprisoned for his son’s murder, who finds evidence that his son may actually be alive. He escapes and goes hunting for the truth.
The father in question is played by Avatar’s Sam Worthington, who does work a lot outside of that series, but often in somewhat lower-profile projects. His last big TV series was Under the Banner of Heaven back in 2022 on Hulu. I Will Find You also stars Milo Ventimiglia of This is Us fame, and he is going to lead a new series on HBO Max, American Blue, meant to be a type of police version of The Pitt with a large number of episodes and yearly release. The aforementioned Britt Lower played Worthington’s ex-sister-in-law and former reporter working on the case.

I Will Find You only just premiered today, and does not appear to have issued screeners, so there is no critic score yet for the series. Harlan Coben adaptations have been up and down, but most are positively reviewed, with at least 9 out of 11 adaptations at a 70% or above on Rotten Tomatoes. Netflix’s 2021 adaptation of Stay Close got a 92%, so we’ll wait and see how I Will Find You does with its talented cast. These adaptations almost always do well on Netflix. Fool Me Once was an enormous hit and at one point, was in the top 10 shows of all time on the service in terms of viewership. Others have made less of an impact.
We will see how I Will Find You places on the chart tomorrow, going up against reality show Outlast: The Jungle and the arrival of the third season of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. And we’ll wait for reviews from both critics and audiences as well.
