It seems the live-action Gundam movie is finally getting underway, with more cast members now announced.
Here is the current roster of actors attached to this upcoming live-action Gundam movie:
I’m also calling it here; Jason Isaacs will play a pompous and aristocratic British villain, likely of a Zeonic-esque admiral.
As for the other new additions, Nonso Anozie is a good choice, and I feel he’s been underused in film.
He played a nicely smarmy villain in Game of Thrones, so I am curious as to what his role will be here. He would certainly make for an interesting captain, akin to Bright Noa in the original Mobile Suit Gundam.
There’s still no word of a release date or who is handling this live-action movie’s mecha design, which, for a Gundam property, is slightly strange given how important model kit and toy sales are.
In any case, there are some decent actors now attached to this live-action Gundam movie, and that’s at least a positive start, even if the story outline sounds a bit worrying.
