Straightforward enough. These are all full of umami, or savoriness, one of the five basic tastes.

These refer to:

Connections – Red Herrings

DIM SUM, FORTUNE COOKIE, SOY SAUCE and CHOPSTICKS are aspects of Chinese cuisine.
