Modern laptops maybe slim and pretty, but they often lack enough ports. EZQuest's new series of Pro Multimedia Hubs offer a solution.

The recently launched MacBook Neo, Apple’s most affordable laptop yet, has quickly become the company’s most successful product launch. While it offers great value for money, its ports are limited with just one USB-C 3.2 port and a USB 2.0 port, which is slow and only useful for connecting a mouse keyboard or power adapter. So how can you make the most of that single USB 3.2 port?
One of the trio of hubs from EZQuest could be the answer. These new USB-C multimedia hub adapters provide extra ports for driving extra displays, transferring data to an external drive or charging a laptop. However, they’re not just made for the MacBook Neo; they’ll work with any Mac Windows or even Linux computer.
The new EZQuest Pro hubs are available in 5-in-1, 8-in-1 or 12-in-1 versions, depending on the amount of expandability you’re looking for. All three hubs are designed to be lightweight and small enough to slip into a trouser pocket or workbag.
The EZQuest Pro 8-in-1 multimedia hub has a total of 8 USB-C ports plus a PD input.

Each hub boasts a streamlined lightweight case and a detachable USB-C or USB 4 cable for a clutter-free desk. The cable is sheathed in braided nylon and features a strain relief for extra durability. Furthermore, each Pro Series hub comes with a two-year warranty.
MORE FOR YOU
The standout model in the Pro Series is the 8-in-1 hub. This versatile hub is priced at $149.99 and comes with three USB 4 ports and a USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 port on one side. The other side has four USB-C Gen 2 ports. Users can connect an external 8K display with a 30Hz refresh rate to any of the three USB 4 ports. Alternatively, the hub can drive two 4K displays at 60Hz on Windows, Linux, Android and Chrome OS.
When used with macOS laptops, the dual display function only works on MacBooks with the M1, M2, M3 Pro and Max, plus all M4, M5 and later chips. Alas, that doesn’t include the MacBook Neo. The hub is powered by Intel’s Hoover Ridge JHL8140 USB4/TB4 Chipset.
All the EZQuest Pro hubs come with a detachable cable with a braided nylon sheath and strain relief for durability.

As well as the flagship 8-in-1 model, the EZQuest Pro Series Hubs are also available in as a 5-in-1 version, priced at $35.99. This is the hub probably best suited to the new MacBook Neo because it has a USB-A 3.0 port, a USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 port, two USB-A 2.0 ports, plus a HDMI 4K 60Hz port for driving an external display. It’s available in Space Black and White colorways.
The EZQuest 12-in-1 hub is priced at $89.99 and has two USB-C ports, three USB-A ports, an Ethernet port with LED indicator, SDHC and Micro SDHC 3.0 card slots, plus a 3.5mm audio jack with microphone support. There’s also a USB-C PD 3.0 port and two HDMI 4K 60Hz outputs. That’s a lot of portage for the money and probably the model that offers the best all-round value for money.
The EZQuest Pro Series Hubs are available in 5-in-1, 8-in-1 and 12-in-1 versions, priced at $35.99, $149.99 and $89.99 from www.ezq.com or the EZQuest Amazon store.
